I'm looking for peak, I'm not concerned with speedy or sedating as much where would the peak production of medicine be. I usually wait until some amber shows up in the calyx before harvesting - there are always some amber on the sugar leaves - here are shots from the inner most I could get in the calyx.

Thanks to the one person is who voted - I have let them go for a week and things are looking better but think I'll let them go for a little longer.

i don't see any amber but do see some clear, i don't harvest based on how the trichomes look though, i go for the whole plant appearance.
 
Amber relates to THC decay ( CBN ) , I usually shoot for percentage of Cloudy vs. Clear ( meaning the most clouded ) , some strains Don't amber at all.

Thanks for the reply - I'll take a few shots of the whole buds tomorrow when the lights are back on to get a better overall look at things.

Thank you - that's kinda what I was thinking as well, I'll keep monitoring and posting up shots for opinions. This is a 1:1 CBD/THC strain, I want to catch it at it's full ripeness.

I'm using a celestron handheld digital microscope. I take a video while I hold it to the bud and zoom my focus into the buds, then I replay and stop frame on the shot I want and use the windows snip tool to capture it. Thanks for the input! I chopped the tops and am real happy with the yield so far, I'm letting the lower buds stay on for 2 more weeks to get bigger. Here's some shots before chop.

Thanks, it's a clear headed hyperfocused feel to me - not so much a buzz - great daytime meds. I think the 1:1 CBD to THC is kinda negates itself. If I want a buzz, I have other strains for that. It also immediately wipes out any nerve pain in my back. The seedbanks sell it.
