Nice tb that thing looks awesome! Keep us posted
mike your right that people are able to get good results with the 5 gal buckets but I think you have the right idea with those lawn bags that's the most convenient set up I've seen! And yea I do like how lo maintenance they are once you have them dialed in!! Getting there i was pulling my hair out at times lol. But my girls are 6 weeks into flower and it's been smooth sailing!! I can't wait to try the dyna gro nutes with it with bigger chambers
Yes- I've always been curious how Dyna would do with HPA... It's just that the Canna I was using was such a breeze litke Atomizer said, and I have to buy more DG, so didn't see the point in buying a second nute. I will be very interested in your progress however, so definitely keep us posted and I hope you go through with trying it...

umm, 'what if' you do a google search for how to keep your pictures untraceable, duh! 1000's of people post there pictures on this site, why you think the fuzz is waiting to bust your door in soon as you click upload is beyond any rational thought

what if i link it to my youtube account using my iphone?
Only advice I have is do not use youtube... They are especially not good to use and ppl have been known to be busted from it. You could probably get away with just posting here- there are so many others and I doubt your few plants will stand out against the thousands of other users. In the end, it's a personal decision, so only you can decide how you'll sleep at night.

Atomizer, et al: I replaced my 4 head mist assembly with 2 dual heads. This allowed me to move them farther apart, which provides better coverage throughout the pod. Since doing so, the plants are very happy and roots are exploding:clap:

I have 3 of the same seedlings growing outside using the same DM A & B GROW nutes as inside (~ 500ppm). Even though they are only ~ 6" tall, the 3 outside went into flower 2 weeks ago

I wanna move fast on this, as summer is approaching and I want to put off implementing big changes til then. For now, I've ripped out the plants, and the bags and want to construct a single root zone (temporary pond liner type) to scrog out this single plant. I think the 4' width I'm dealing with is more condusive to a single bushy bastard all netted out. And I got just the bastard. This is my WW mommy I've been keeping in my cabinet DWC. The roots are a brilliant white, and I'd like to hit em with the mist. I'm thinking 2x4 catch basin lined, and draping pond liner down like a shower curtain around the parameter. Not quite sure just yet if that's what I'm gonna do, but thought I'd throw out some bait to see what I could come back with. Gonna order some silk screen now.WP_000899.jpg

O yea Michael she looks like she'd like a setup like that.
Put a 4x4 underneath for the runoff with it lined to the top now that sounds like what I should do with 4x8 tent just put a shelf in it with treys to catch run off. It's the only way I see getting the bushes I'm after!!

Mike- Since heat is no issue for you, that sounds like a good idea to me just the way you described it. You can rig the misters on some sort of stands or something. That WW is looking real good man, I hope it makes an easy transition for you... Are you sure you don't wanna take a couple clones first just in case? ;)

That WW is looking good! I think taking clones might be a good idea too.
How do you plan on keeping the root zone light tight? I'd like to see a setup like that that keeps the root zone dark.

Yep, you can't have too much spare air around the roots. Well, mostly not. I am guessing 2-3 cft per root is about right.

FYI, I have repeatedly been trimming the lower (longer) parts of my roots without issues. Sort of like mowing the lawn.

It forces the upper root mass to widen which allows for collection of more falling mist

I have two clones that are just starting to show roots, and two air-clone attempts I threw together the other day. Really hoping the air-clones will be my new method.

I'm struggling with what to do for the top. I am stuck with that Rubbermaid lid, unless I cut it off... Shit, gotta go to work, but hope to throw something together tonight.

make a square cutout for the lid and drop it in. A resin/plastic patio table would be a good foundation for a chamber, saw the legs down to get the right height and attach the skirt to the edge of the table using pvc or aluminium strips. There is a flexible pvc version of "poly-loc" but i`m buggered if i can find a link. Its a 2 part pvc extrusion used to lock greenhouse poly to the frame.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to pull it off last night, but I powered through and got it done. It's not my prettiest work, and I never thought I'd resurrect that fiberglass tub I used in the green tube rig, but here it is. One plant, one massive root chamber, and 4 nozzles. If this doesn't give me adequate coverage, I don't know what will. I do know that this single chamber design is going to carry over when I build a proper root chamber this summer.

I know it's ugly, so be nice. :)

It looks good Mike - was that thing a prop for the Noah's Ark play in Compton? ;) (Sorry just had to comment since you said not too). In all seriousness, it looks like it might great work as long as it's lightproof and doesn't have too many gaps where air freely flows in and out. One thing I know for sure is these Aerolife nozzles I am playing with would fill that thing without much problem.

Hey it looks like it'll work. I used two ugly heavy pain in the ass 1'Wx4'Lx3'H fifty gallon aquarium tanks as res's once, roots didn't give a shit! With that black skirt, kind of looks like the roll of black/white poly i have. I've been envisioning a huge res made of nothing but b/w poly dropped into a PVC frame. Both items are cheap as shit, especially so for the sq footage you end up with. I've gotten all origami like with PVC and poly separately, but never combined the two, you can really fold it nicely to make a sharp looking cube, probably any shape you'd want, same goes for building a frame with PVC, no limitations on size or shape. Something to ponder when you're drawing up plans for the next res.
EDIT:
Actually,.. maybe take it a step further, and run water through the PVC frame to misters using some of these,.PN RTT418 - 1/2"S X 1/2"S X 1/8" FPT PVC MISTING NOZZLE TEE's. Endless configuration possibilities. And whatever nozzles you use they could be tapped into the PVC frame.

Something kind of like this, only lined in poly and grow out of the top,.. misters all along the pvc,.. that'd be sweet :) http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t222/DoubleD_055/2012 Blog Posts/March112012001.jpg
