Trump To Turn Himself In

A NY State judge has no jurisdiction in Florida. And like I've said already, NY would still have to get him back to NY for a trial to even happen. That would take a hearing before a Florida Judge and then sign off by desantis. There's no way desantis is going to piss off close to half of the Republican voters. If he beats trump in the primary those trump voters will vote for him but not if he signs a Governors Warrant to extradite trump to NY to stand trial.

People need to slow down and stop talking about jail. That's a long ways of and most likely isn't even going to happen.

Then there's the fact that even if an indictment is returned the Prosecutor might not even proceed. Hell, it's likely that the Biden administration is pressuring the DA not to do anything. The last thing Biden wants is some trump trial dominating the airwaves 24/7 for the next year or more.
If he has to be extradited, he will be locked up until trial once he gets there, which is why he will probably surrender and delay his trial for as long as he can. The democrats would love him to put meatball Ron on the spot like that and like Pence, Ron will get blamed for it by Trump, no matter what the facts are.

No he won't be locked up. He'll be out on bond.

I seem to be one of the few that actually looks at things objectively and actually understands how the system works. Some seem to think that if trumps indicted he'll immediately be in handcuffs, then on a plane back to NY for a stint in Rikers or something. You might want that to happen but it never will.

941.04 Governor may investigate case.—When a demand shall be made upon the Governor of this state by the executive authority of another state for the surrender of a person so charged with crime, the Governor may call upon the Department of Legal Affairs or any prosecuting officer in this state to investigate or assist in investigating the demand, and to report to him or her the situation and circumstances of the person so demanded, and whether the person ought to be surrendered.

941.07 Issue of Governor’s warrant of arrest; its recitals.—If the Governor decides that the demand should be complied with, he or she shall sign a warrant of arrest, which shall be sealed with the state seal, and be directed to any peace officer or other person whom the Governor may think fit to entrust with the execution thereof. The warrant shall be sufficient if it substantially recites facts to show that an extraditable crime has been committed under the laws of the demanding state.

941.16 Bail; in what cases; conditions of bond.—Unless the offense with which the prisoner is charged is shown to be an offense punishable by death or life imprisonment under the laws of the state in which it was committed, a judge or other judicial officer having power of commitment in this state may admit the person arrested to bail by bond, with sufficient sureties, and in such sum as he or she deems proper, conditioned for the prisoner’s appearance before him or her at a time specified in such bond, and for the prisoner’s surrender, to be arrested upon the warrant of the Governor of this state.

Donald will be tried in NY for crimes in NY, extradition is a formality, unless Meatball Ron wants to trigger a constitutional crisis, extradition happens every day and Ron wants Donald out of the way. If they have to drag Donald to NY, they will put him in a regular jail cell complete with cockroaches until trial and that could take months of sitting in Rikkers.

These comments are hilariously incorrect. It’s easy to see who has hatred for someone without knowing the facts. The only facts to know is they are outside the statutes of limitations. Misdemeanor 2 years and 5 years for felony. This is purely political and he will be boosted in the polls from this because it will rally his base. It will also open the doors to go after Biden since we’re arresting presidents.

The secret service could have a problem and might have to cope as best they can, operating from the unlocked cell next door if required. Once in NY the judge owns Donald's ass and I'd doubt he'd make bond if he had to be extradited from another state. He will very likely surrender so he can make bond and run around loose for months.

In NY time spent outside the state goes against the statute of limitations which is why it expired federally, but not in NY. Who gives a fuck what his base thinks? They are just "cousin fucking terrorists" according to Tucker's team.

not if the hush money came from campaign finance...then it's federal and a felony

I’m sure that’s what they told you. Based on your previous comments I can tell it will be pointless to provide facts. Let alone argue with people on the internet over politics. You’re more than welcome to comment to my post if I’m wrong when the time comes.

Who are "they", it's all over the fucking news and lawyers are talking on TV, not just people are saying, as Trump would say. Maybe tomorrow a court will be speaking.

How is an extradition proceeding between two states going to trigger a Constitutional Crisis?

Under normal circumstances it would be a formality but these are not normal circumstances.

desantis wants to be President. If not 2024 then 2028. If he hands trump over to some Democrat DA in NY his national political career in the Republican party is over. Look at Cheney, Kinzinger, and every other Republican that voted to impeach.

Good point. Looks like they're well past 5 years from the commission of the crime. I missed that detail.

On October 27, 2016, days before the general election, Cohen wired a $130,000 payment to Daniels' lawyers in return for her contractual promise to stay quiet about the alleged 2006 affair, according to Cohen.

(b) A prosecution for any other felony must be commenced within five
years after the commission thereof;

The source for all this chatter is trump himself. THEY are all just speculating without any actual facts.
There are other sources of information, Trump is guessing, but he has information and wants to get ahead of the news, an indictment from NY is coming very soon, the grand jury indicts, and they have not been wasting their time in NY.

If meatball Ron wants to keep Donald in Florida, he will need a good reason. The last I checked Donald was ahead of Ron in the GOP primary polls and no matter what Ron does Trump will blame him. If he surrounded Mar a Largo with state police to keep the feds away, Donald will still say he caved in and sold out, when the feds finally broke in and dragged him away. Donald will have to stay in Florida because he will be arrested anywhere else unless a republican state AG obstructs justice, like Ron would be accused of doing. Staying in Florida does make it hard to run for president and Ron could keep him a virtual prisoner there!

I just hate the way our two political parties (yeah BOTH) have turned this country upside down pitting friends and even family against each other in their desire to control the government wealth of this country. But even as a Republican (moderate) Im truly sick of Trump's antics. It time for the Republican party to dump Trump and his global-sized ego and move on.
