Not so many people "starving" here, dumbass.
The problem is that shitty food is cheap and fresh food is expensive, it's not an issue of starving it's an issue of malnutrition.
And Id still like to see stats for "Russians starving", they haven't all the nicest things but I'm pretty sure most of them are getting by (regarding the basics) better than alot of people here.

Here is a thought for you. Why in this supposed foward thinking society, would we even need a 'leader'? In a forward thinking society, why wouldnt we vote and concentrate on specific policies, rather than a specific person (from a very shallow pool) and trusting them to implement their promises?

That's a refreshing departure from the current conversation. Yours is a leftist political ideal if I ever heard one. The Sanders supporters around here have been calling themselves "far left" but really are just liberals who want to make some minor tweaks to our capitalist system. Perhaps you can school these Sandernistas (snicker) on what "the left" really stands for.
The leaderless society you envision would have to be very different from the capitalist one we have today. Care to expand on the idea a bit more?

Hunger? no that's not true. Although, I'm just a pensioner from Moscow. Probably someone somewhere can starve, but this is not a modern social problem.

It's about time the rest of the world stops looking to the US as the world power. I'm pulling for the US to start treating defense as the word is defined rather than a synonym for aggression.
As far as China is concerned, I think that suppressing more than a billion people is it's own government's job, not the US's. The economic miracle that raised 25% of China's population out of poverty is a good thing. OTOH the mercantile family oligarchy that developed from revolutionary leaders wasn't exactly the best thing for the continuation of that progress. We'll see how stable that country is once the economic boom dwindles along with the population of working age people.
