Want to go dwc but not sure

Was wondering what's an inexpensive,stealthy and good quality way so start was thinking of a bubble boy with 5 gallon reservoir and general hydroponics nutes

Its def one of the best ways that i have researched, but not a good way to start IMO. If you havent grown before, grow in soil for your first few times so u can get used to the subtle things the plant does. Using a hydro setup is a lot harder than it looks since u have to upkeep the Res and make sure everything is perfect at ALL times. Soil has more room for error.

If you know what ur doing, than bubble boy is one of the best options out there.

I'd hand feed in coco to waste. I think it's the best way, if you are the type to spend time with your plants every day. If you want something more automated, flood and drain tables are easier.

Bubble buckets/DWC growing is fun, and veg growth is explosive when it's dialed in.

But when I tried it, the roots kept clogging my lines, and then root rot.

Even if you keep the plants smaller, and figure out a way to keep the roots from clogging your drain, you should also be prepared to add a chiller at some point.

Do it. I just switched to dwc 11 days ago and will never go black. How much is the bubble boy and does it come with a pump. Build your own bucket with a better pump and air stones and it will still be cheaper but better components. Also consider advance nutrients ph perfect nutes (2 or 3 part) to remove a big variable. GH nutes can have huge ph swings and needs constant monitoring. I've been using AN ph perfect for 11 days and my ph hasn't moved more than .1 in that time. You will need a ec/ppm meter of some sort as this will be your biggest concern in dwc. Good luck with your start up and have fun.

DWC is only advised if you have the proper tools included ie: ph meter - ec/ppm meter "without these 2 bits of kit don't bother. Actual setup of a DWC system is piss easy, pic included.

I have grown in soil successfully and now want to do hydro and btw thanks everyone I got two bubble boys and will look into advanced nutrients I bought super thrive also should I start clone or seed

Sorry didn't read it properly, i WOULDN'T advise putting more than one plant in each bucket, as soon as you see them grow you'll understand why "explosive" growth comes with DWC :weed:

dwc is too easy . Soil takes more knowledge/effort.
If you're good with diy look into modding a igloo cooler of some kind into a dwc system.
The insulated cooler will solve one of the headaches of doing dwc.
That and either get a pen type meter or a continuous meter and learn what the settings should be.
Never did understand why people would say hydro is so much more complicated than soil.
And that hand watering coco/soil is great if you like to waste your time or have the time on your hands.

I originally started a thread, it got kinda controversial because of the name, I grew 5 big ass plants in one bucket. Of course this was connected to a main res .
It didn't work out too bad but would have been better with 3 in the bucket. two got choked out pretty bad but the others did great

Well, in my experience, nothing is simpler than filling a grow bag full of coco, and putting a drip pan under it. Or better yet, a leach tray.

And a few pro's I've found...
Hand feeding gives you more flexibility, since with each feed you have the option to adjust. Coco gives really fast results, plus it's easy to custom tailor strain specific feeding regimens using cheap GH micro and bloom only if your on a tight budget.

Yes on extremely cheap budget but can get starter kit for cheap which is samples of all their nutes
