Yes, but they'll keep improving the drones as they come up with countermeasures...EW is only good when you can set it up, step one foot past that perimeter and they'll turn you into bloody pulp, literally.
We still issue soldiers Bayonets...once we use a weapon, we don't like to give it up. They'll harden drone hardware, encrypt programming, scramble communications, find better, lighter armor, improve payloads...and find ways to shut down EW measures, like unprogrammed munitions that can't be interfered with, or small simple drones filled with HE that are attracted to the radiation the EW systems emit.
They aren't dumping money into drone development because they're planning on not being able to use them.
I was referring to the employment of mass-produced cheap commercial drones in warfare for the most part. Of course, there will be an evolving arms race in military drones and more effective ways to deal with commercial ones. It's just that in this war Russia is incapable of dealing with commercial and FPV drones because of incompetence, corruption and sanctions. We see how deadly and cost effective they can be from the videos of this war, if the enemy has no way or limited ways to deal with them. Those small cheap commercial drones can be upgraded with shielding and military grade communications kits and are available in very large numbers at low cost.

Bayonets are the vestiges of the polearm, from the millennia between flint and gunpowder.
The nice thing about bladed weapons is that they don’t need ammunition, be it arrows or guided munitions. They need periodic sharpening, and stabbing weapons like the bayonet don’t need to be sharp, particularly the spike style. China still fits SKS carbines with them.

Because that's what predatory fucking pieces of shit do...Take advantage of the misfortune of their neighbors.
Keep telling me that most russians are good people...i sooo fucking believe it.
^That 92 year old woman is about the fourth person in an on the street interview that hasn't been all about killing everyone in Ukraine and then moving on to the rest of Europe...out of about 100. That's not a good ratio...

Drones are technology and can be used for good and bad, intention is everything, unlike guns drones can save lives as well as take them.

By taking lives perhaps, which lives do you value? A gun has but one purpose and that is to kill, most often another human being, target practice is just that, practice for shooting something alive. A drone can be used to drop bombs or fly a suicide drone like this into a tank with a bomb attached, but before the war the guys who did that did this kind of thing. Here is an American FPV pilot doing what they normally do when not flying into tanks.
