Due to the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP), a criminal case has been initiated on a terrorist attack. This was told in the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

“The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case on the terrorist act on the fact of the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and the flooding of territories,” the report says. departments. It is noted that a criminal case has been opened under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This is a terrorist act that was committed by a group of persons by prior agreement and caused significant property damage and other grave consequences.

Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station: the main thing by the evening of June 6
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) in the Kherson region. URA.RU brings the main news to the evening of June 6.

Authorities of the Kherson region: the city of Alyoshki is almost completely flooded.
The city of Alyoshki in the Kherson region was almost completely flooded after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced by the chairman of the government of the Kherson region Andrey Alekseenko.

“The most difficult situation is now in Aleshki. The city is almost completely flooded,” he said in his telegram channel . Alekseenko noted that residents can only be evacuated from the flooded city using special equipment.

He stressed that large forest fires began on the other side of the city after Ukrainian shelling. According to him, there are communication problems in Aleshki. All available Ural and KamAZ off-road vehicles have already been sent to the city.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called the reason for the incident. He stated that in this way, with the help of sabotage, Kiev masks the failure of the counteroffensive . The Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) opened a criminal case under the article "Terrorist act" .
So, when it is proven that the russians did this, which it is obvious they did, they will be self proclaimed terrorists?
Isn't that sufficient provocation for NATO to step in at that point? Dealing with admitted terrorists is different than dealing with a terrorist state that denies it's status, isn't it?

It is cooling water and power for the nuclear power plant up stream that has me concerned, if there was trouble there it would be a regional catastrophe and would include NATO countries. I think Vlad will destroy that nuclear plant out of spite and has it mined too and when they are driven out of the area it will go too. Perhaps NATO should provide air transport for the Ukrainians to surround and cut the Russians there off until their army can control the area. Make a surprise attack 20 miles from the plant and cut off all the exits, tell the Russians there that if anything happens there, they will be the ones staying there and cleaning up the mess, if they do it, they die from radiation poisoning. NATO helicopters and fighters with NATO people flying them and Ukrainians on the ground, fighters to keep the Russians off them until the Ukrainian army arrives and they can help that too. No attacks within 20 miles of the power plant, just cut it off and approach by foot with drones.

Make sure they understand that if they blow it up or let it melt down through stupidity, that they will be staying or taken back to the plant to clean it up until they die! If the Russian colonel wants to follow orders, he needs to understand it will be suicide for him and his subordinates. Get as close as you reasonably can and encircle the place with infantry and make all of them understand the consequences for them personally.

If they mined that power plant, it could contaminate the Dnipro River and that flows into the black sea. Depending on the wind direction Europe Belarus and Russia could be contaminated and a sizable portion of the world's food supply taken offline for a long time. It would greatly harm Turkey since the get most of their grain from Ukraine and could suffer from fallout. Millions could starve over this, aside from those in Europe affected by radiation.

russia's leaders and their army are every one war criminals, rapists, thieves, murderers, terrorists....They don't deserve to have a chance to recoup after they are finally forced to withdraw, they should be chased and harried back to russia, and every officer in their army, the entire politburo, should all be placed on trial for war crimes.
Whatever money they had abroad is gone to Ukraine, Joe needs to declare Russia a terrorist state to allow them to go after the assets of rich Russians. Uncle Sam should have a lot of NY and Florida real-estate to sell or turn over to the Ukrainians for management and disposal. Time to play hardball with their wallets and the money abroad of rich Russians should be seized and eventually turned over to the Ukrainians under the management of an international commission. The Russians kept their money abroad and much of it was made through corruption, there is probably a trillion in private money alone including $200 million of Vlad's held by proxies.

NATO and the UN ought to declare the Russian Government a Terrorist State and tell them that they have ten days to evacuate UKR, arrest, and deliver Vlad and their High Government officials, or their dead bodies to the Hague or the Terrorist nests of Moscow and St Petersburg will be reduced to radioactive slag.

No, there are plenty of investments out there that can and should be confiscated and turned into financial aid. Putin and his oligarchs have at least a trillion dollars invested outside of Russia. Ironically, they moved it out of Russia because they thought it was safer and easier to hide. If the G7 decide work together to uncover where that money went and to passed a universal set laws in each G7 country that enables confiscation of assets purchased using dirty Russian money, their money and power attached to it would go up in smoke.

Putin stole an enormous amount from Russia and smuggled it into Switzerland, the UK and the US. I've seen estimates of up to a trillion dollars by Putin alone. Forget Musk, Putin is the wealthiest man on the planet right now. Let's see the previous sentence get turned into past tense.

They have only one way to destroy Ukraine. I believe that several Nato governments have told them unequivocally that if they exercise that option, it will end very badly for Russia.
Do they seem like rational people? Led by a rational man?...Threats only matter in how they effect the man in control, and i have very little faith in the effectiveness of threats against a rabid street rat like putin.

Whatever pays the bills and punitive damages, preferably by the guiltiest because I'm sure there is enough cash held abroad in the west to cover the expenses, loans, aid payback and war costs in general, along with reparations.

They have rational people who know the difference between bluster and the point of no return. While Vladolf strikes me as increasingly deranged, his power is not absolute.

The fact that they threaten to use nukes, but have not used any so far, means to me that enough rational people stand between Vladolf and a very bad decision.

Plainly I don’t know.

But I don’t think all this noisy saber-rattling would be going on if there were a serious plan to cross the nuclear threshold.

One factor imo is Putin’s health. He has a serious movement disorder. That could be the tip of a medical iceberg. I would not be surprised if the executive tier 2 is aware, and cautious as a result.

All blue-sky speculation on my part

a very good breakdown of China's economic issues and projections about what will happen in their economy this decade.

My take-away is that China can't afford to carry Russia as a second tier partner nor can it afford to further alienate the customers (the west) it so urgently needs to help it get through this decade and grow.

The last thing it needs is a war over Taiwan. They need to mow their own lawn.
