It's not about territory, it's about destroying the Russian military and their equipment, once that is done taking the territory won't be a problem. Maybe heavy getting armor over the river to counter armor is not required, they would be used just to take ground and support infantry. However, the Russians have FPV drones too.

"Our FPV drones work very well. The Russians can no longer deliver BC (ammunition), evacuate people, etc. I saw with my own eyes one destruction of a car on the way back and one as they flew into the apartment. At the moment, Russia has lost all the tanks that were (in my sector) at a distance out to 25 km. FPV drones destroy any vehicle."

Maybe Joe will explain it next year before the election since the public has an attention span of a gnat. If he wants to defeat Russia, he should provide the means to do so before the election, to make sure Russia is not a future threat. They seem to be having the most success with their 5th column in America, not on the battlefield, so I would expect them to try mightily to interfere in the US election. Their trouble is their main man, and his henchmen will be in prison and Trump likely disqualified, though they still have magats in congress, Elon and of course foxnews.

It's about the global struggle for liberal democracy and fascists are the enemies of liberal democracy wherever they live.

The attrition of the Russian army continues, they continue to attack and continue to lose, it's not about territory yet, it's about destroying the Russian army and especially its equipment and in particular the most modern equipment that is the most difficult to replace. A lot of the Soviet legacy equipment can't be replaced, once it's gone it's gone for good, and the production of new equipment is constrained by economics and sanctions. Whatever shape the Russians are in now, it will be worse in the spring. I expect FPV drone warfare to be bad over this winter, with the leaves gone there is no cover and the FPV drones can communicate better with the operators. I see they are also using directional tracking antennas on raised poles at times to greatly increase the range of the FPV drones.
