Watering Jugs - Any good diy attachments to get some length?

Hey guys, trying to see who has gotten creative. Currently I use a simple 1 gallon plastic milk jug to mix my nutes and feed. The plants are only in my veg area and in 1 gallon pots, so I simply slide the tray out, water right from the mouth of the jug and slide them back in. Unfortunately the flower tent is going to be 7 gallon fabric pots, and a scrog, so the plants wont be able to be moved to get water.

What ingenious ways are there to get some water to the back plants and all around the planter with a little precision. I watch my buddy water his plants, and he basically just pours it in there like a tidal wave, makes a puddle and hes onto the next, I like to sort of slowly wander around the edges.

Post up your methods. Cheers!

why not just get on of those plant water jugs long spout 6 bucks any where . or spend 20 or less buy a pump throw it into the bottom of a bucket or so on and have a hose attached to it so you can hit a button to turn on and off the water , so the hose will have a garden hose end if you will . this works very well .

One of these in each pot with some 1/2" tubing. I have a watering can that the spout will fit into the tubing - makes it easy to get at those girls in the back row and waters nice and evenly....

For hard as hell to reach back plants I use one of those Christmas tree watering funnels and a 3 liter soda bottle.
Rinse out the bottle. Put the cap on. Lay the bottle down on it's side and poke some pinholes in there on one side. On the other cut a hole big enough that the bottom of the funnel's pipe will go through.
Lay it down in the pot with the side with pinholes facing down. Big hole facing up.
Then you can just slide the pole through the net while standing then pour your nutes through the funnel top. It flows down the pipe into the bottle which then slow drips. Without the bottle there it just hits the medium really fast and shoots strait through.
After you get the hang of it then you're looking at 20 seconds per plant.
You can hit every plant and not move from the front or even bend over.

The long spout watering cans just arent long enough.

A little fountain pump dropped into the bottom of a buckets sounds like a good idea so far, sinc I could literally drop the pump and hose into any size bucket. Like right now I only need a gallon for my plants, but when bigger could simply drop the pump and hose into the 5 gallon pale and pump away. This may be my winner

The gravity design is very nice aswell, but wouldnt suit my personal indoor setup. A little to indiscreet

The watering rings are a cool invention aswell, but for $15 each I dont know if I could justify over $100 worth of them for my garden

Seriously tho. Something like this. A reservoir up high with a watering hose and shut off valve.
I was SOOO going to go there!

I had one made out of an old restaurant busboy cart, with a cut down rectangle shaped commercial trash can for the tank..Hose had one of those long reach wands. Rolled on down the line!

@Morriston55

Put a length of garden hose on the end of a watering can (use one with a screw off head) - you can make it "stiff" (leave a foot or so of "loose" between the can and the stiff part for ease of use) with an old broom stick or the like. With a little practice, you can figure amount delivered my metering the amount supplied by timing it. The old 1-Mississippi, 2-Mississippi thing.
Any local farm supply business will have different diameter hose available - same as fish tank hose only bigger, is another hose source.

Not pretty, but it has worked.

Checked 2 garden centers for a threaded spout, nodda. On center had a metal can with a pretty decently long stem, but had already began rusting at the base just sitting outside in the garden center, so, pass on that.

I use a cheap pump sitting in a tank that will hold enough water to water all my girls ......I got a pump at harbor freight for like 10 buck or so ...it's lasted me a long while ....the hose coming off the pump isn't even as big as a garden hose it's just 15 feet of small hose and I taped it onto The end of a 4ft bamboo stick used for supporting plants that way I can reach back with it .....works just fine ...GL

I use these also with a 5 gallon bucket as a gravity feed system. They do work very well. Mine only cost $7.99 each but i have Prime. I can see though now that cost can be an issue.
