Wedding cake garage ten grow diary

Hi guys ,

first time doing a diary like this but I’m gna give it ago ..

I have 6x wedding cake in 20l pots (realises now thats to big) there under 2x600w for veg although heat is to much so just using one atm . Tent size is 2.4x1.2 with 4inch intake and 6 inch extractor , two circulation fans going straight into the plants ...

im trying scrog method this time as I’ve never done that before so will be fun to learn

canna coco medium with coco nutirents
there about 2 weeks into veg now and my main issue is the temperature I’m really struggling with it being in the garage and not being able to get air con I’m there but for a few ideas to try out to get it down :)

so yeah any tips and tricks along the way would be appreciate and let me no what U think

So think I’ve FIMed a couple of these wrong what u think ?
Looks good, they will grow up nicely dude, where did you get the cakes from seed or clone? what breeder?...
It will be difficult to control heat in a garage in the summer with no way to exhaust hot air or air condition the room. bongsmilie Where is that fan exhausting to?

Cheers

It takes it out through roof trusts mate , got the temp okay for mean time just got the one light on , and I intake my air from the outside as knocked a brick out wall at the bottom , seedstocker are the breeder mate from gorilla seeds

Some clearer pics , happy with most of them so far but there two that don’t look so happy

How hot is it getting at max? How close is the light ? how often are you watering?

If temps aren't breaking 30+ constantly I wouldn't bother changing lights but I would raise the light to be like 22-26" away for plants that size with a 600 and get a fan blowing directly on the light. The crinkling of the tops could be heat or light stress. I find plants rarely react to temps up to 30+ in veg if they have enough water. That is obviously not ideal for flower and will give you hermies and fluffy weed but for veg not the biggest dealio.
At higher temps the plant will drink alot and you may need to run a lower EC.

You need air cooled hoods to get temps under control.

I run 2-600w in a 4x8', 2-1kW also in a 4x8' and a 315w cmh in a 4x4'.
Trust me. You're gonna need air cooled hoods...

agreed definitely would help remove the lamps heat from the room more effectively. I also run all 600watt air cooled.
I will say I think this guy is in his garage and its summer while it looks like you've got a nice chilly basement. Nice set up, cheers !

So u say get a air cooled tube and not go to cfl ? Max is 35 degrees :o
You won't grow squat with cfl. You need to get the air in the garage cooled down if it isn't already, and then use air cooled hoods, or yes even (bleh :spew:) "cool tubes" to get the heat from your bulbs out of your tent.

depends if you got some cash bro, if you can get a good deal on a air cooled hood that could def help your situation. you will always get better growth with an HID over cfls but yah 35, is pushing it :fire:plants can handle some pretty high temps with enough root mass and water, some strains better then others.
Id lift the light up to make sure its not light stressed
run the light s on over night and off while the sun is hitting the garage at peak time as best as possible.
If its 36 outside the garage its gonna be tough to keep things down for sure.

Nope not that hot outside the garage or init , but it’s hotter in the garage than the outside , my in-line fan gets air from the outdoors in the shade side off garage wall a took a brick out the walll at the bottom
