Weedoozie's 1st (ADVICE WELCOME!)

if your using mylar with a 400+f heat resistance i dont think youll have to worry about anything catching fire but your plants hahah

Lol, I'm not sure about the heat resistance of my Mylar but its all good, I set up the flowering room a while ago and the plants made it through, STILL growing....
I don't think I'll invest in an HID light anytime soon anyway as I only need buds for my meds and I got a greenhouse since then so I'll save my money and just use the sun 8-)

I'll update with pictures tomorrow afternoon!

Hello all,
G.G and Fedora are still growing. Fedora looks healthier than G.G but that because I've flushed G.G out longer.

G.G has no seeds to speak of...while I can see them growing on Fedora.:hump:

This has been a long educational process, I've definitely learned a lot. For my future grows, I'm going to continue giving N more throughout flowering as I think I caused N deficiency as seen by my "buds-on-sticks" though Fedora does still have a lot more of her leaves left than G.G, I know a healthier plant has more. Oh well, not much to do now but wait some more...

Here are the pictures I promised, the lighter pink and green plants in the beginning are of Fedora, you can see some seeds there too. The darker lavender plant with green explosions on the buds and with less leaves are of G.G, more towards the end. Enjoy!

Hi Weedoozie, really great plants you got there. I dig your grow! Do you know when you want to harvest? They look very mature, any chance of looking at the trichomes?
I think you will have a great yield.

ciao,R

Awesome pics Weedoozie. Looking good. At least trimming should be a bit easier.

Lol yup! The bright side of my noobdom

I can't get a decent picture of the trichs unfortunately but I see that they are 30% amber, 50% cloudy, 20% clear on Fedora and 80% cloudy, 10% amber, 10% clear on G.G
I'm waiting for the clear ones to turn but perhaps I should just cut down G.G now...

Pablo, that is the one thing i dont like of private growing.. The trimming.. I bloody hate that! :-)

It pays well to be a seasonal trimmer for a reason! However, I'm currently enjoying every minute of my first of many homegrown trimming sessions :D

Well, I found out that the culprit of the pollen was my stressed-into-creating-bananas-under-fan-leaves clone of Fedora. Unfortunately I made a noob error in keeping my clone in there with my bagseed females and now I'm pretty sure both have been pollinated by the hermed clone. Poo.

I cut down G.G after the discovery of the bananas on the clone and a closer inspection of trichs on all of my plants. G.G is done from what I can tell and Fedora is still going. I'm just going to let Fedora and her herm-clone grow and produce seeds until they're ripe. Then I will chop them and use the seeds for cooking and perhaps make hash if the smoke isn't strong enough...

I licked my fingers after cutting down G.G and my god, my tongue is red and tingling with spice from her spicy flavors...its like nothing I've ever tasted because its quite sweet as well. I'm loving this...hopefully she'll get better with proper drying and curing and age :D

Anyhow, these are the pictures of the little drying area I created right next door to my growing box

Awesome harvest Weedoozie! If you're liking the smoke now, you'll really like it in a month or two.

That sucks about the hermie. About the seeds, what do you mean by cooking with them? Also, I've read some threads where people debate the usefulness of seeds taken from a hermi'd plant. Some say it will only produce seeds that carry the hermi genetics. Others disagree. I'd do a little research on that before you toss all of them.

Well it's finally over :D
I have picture that I will post later as I have to go to work quite soon. End of G.G = 1.8 oz dry! I'm more than pleased. Been curing for a 2 weeks now, going to let it keep going because its smelling better every day. Sweet and spicy, its so nice I'm real glad I cloned her.
Fedora was chopped 3 days ago, currently drying in the drying compartment next to my grow area in the closet. Smells strongly of sweet citrus and pine :) She and her clone both had some crazy colors on them. After chopping them, I clearly saw how dark purple some areas on them are. Some of Fedora and her clones leaves are so dark purple, they look black. Its freakin crazy. The tops of her buds are like pinkish green and the bottoms are the dark purple and green. Anyone else seen anything like that with their plant? The color variation I mean. I'll post pics as soon as possible, thanks for stopping by!

P.S. My other grow is turning out well for a greenhouse facing west. I learned much from this first experimental grow. I think I'll have to start another grow journal for that process...

Congratulations sweetheart!

Looks like you will be pleased as hell for quite some time...

Great job and please keep in touch my dear friend...

Namaste' :eyesmoke:

Good job bro. If I recall, G.G. didn't have any seeds, and this one didn't have bananas (but the clone did)? Then that's even better for your final weight that it didn't include any of the aforementioned.

Apropos of nothing, but why is Illumination calling you "sweetheart"?

Wow, that's a good amount of weed. Looks great, Weedoozie.

No apology necessary. My female radar must be a bit out of wack. Cheers.

why do ppl wear gloves when harvesting or handling buds?

Because THC can fall off or be broken off the buds and wearing gloves will help the THC stay intact more than with plain hands. Also, THC will inevitably come off during the process of harvesting/trimming and stick to the tips of your fingers. Wearing gloves makes it so you can extract the THC stickiness from the fingertips of the gloves in order to make hash. Not wearing gloves makes it harder to use the THC resin on your fingertips after the whole process. At least, this is what I've read and done myself
