Dallas is a win for my position as well.
yep, sure is. only took several dozen "good guys" (LOL) with a fucking robot, thereby proving it only takes a good guy with a gun.
and you expect to be taken seriously?
Dallas is a win for my position as well.
We care how you feel, why?I remain unmoved.
Per capita, I find the the accidental shooting death numbers to be more than acceptable. They could be 50 times what they are now and I'd still be shocked at the meager number. And I couldn't care less what other countries' numbers are, they could be zero and it would continue to be meaningless to the debate.
There is no unacceptable number of suicide by firearms. As a staunch liberal who defends every individual's right to decide the way they leave this earth, I feel death by firearm seems like a practical way to get the job done.
More guns, more powerful guns, bigger clips and easier access, that's the ticket. Oh and lightsabers, when the f*** are we getting lightsabers?
No you didn't. You spouted nonsensical conclusions. I'm not sure why anyone would take you seriously. I'm not even sure why I would take you seriously, even for a moment, seeing as how you think global warming is real.
You must be even dumber than most of this forum thinks you are, if that's even possible.
Source?
They sure do!!!
No babies can't own guns...Oh shit next hot button issue.
Do fetuses have the right to own guns?
Republican 1:
If it can pull the trigger in the womb then technically it's alive.
Republican 2:
How do we test that?
Republican 2: Easy we stick a Derringer with blanks in a womans's vagina, (no anesthesia, we want the woman to feel the cold steel) conduct an ultrasound, if the baby pulls the trigger it is viable.
Republicans: Yea
Am I the only somewhat-left-of-center guy here that believes in the right to bear arms? I feel like most of my peers are the opposite, typically. Probably the only or one of very few things from the Right that I support. Of course, I also firmly believe you have to be responsible and respect the weapon.
That exists, though. Assault rifles are just rifles under the ATF unless they have a short barrel or automatic selective fire or a silencer, in which case you need a Class III. For that, you have to wait two years after paying for what you want and waiting for the paperwork and tax stamp to clear. The "assault rifles" typically used are semi-auto, not full-auto. Most guns in general are semi-auto if not manually loaded.I think certain weapons should Be available to all ctizens such as rifles pistols shotguns. As you go up the firepower chain certain cnditions should Have to be met. What Those Are I'll leave to better minds right now.
Theoretical? They're real. I'm not saying you should be hypervigilant at all times, just that you should have a fighting chance if a situation arises. Mags are not regulated and shouldn't be. And any "cooling off" period is more about preventing hot headed individuals from making a split second decision to kill someone they are angry with. It doesn't take into account any type of methodical, calculating conspirator/terrorist.The semi auto large capacity stuff needs a 3 day check or cooling off period. I think that would be a good compromise between expediency and safety. That way you can still buy your gun before the weekend hunting trip.
An arms race with theoretical criminals isn't a good enough reason to stockpile weapons.
That only makes them harder to get for people who abide the law, not criminals. I can walk into town and buy a throwaway for a few hundred and you'd have nothing but a mystery on your hands. If someone is spraying my house? I'd get down and, situation permitting, I'd try to outmaneuver them to return fire. In this kind of case, though, there is no wrong answer except allowing the assailant to have fire superiority. Whether I might die or not, if I'm being shot at, I'd prefer to be able to return fire.True but the proposed no fly list crosscheck should. Waiting 3 days at a time would stop lone wolves from stockpiling them.
If a criminal were to Rob your house with an AK aren't you within pistol range or shotgun range in that situation? And if someone is spraying your house from the outside what good would that AK do you? I'm still not for banning them Just making them a little harder to get.
