Dude, your's can't be at 54%. Watch, when I get stuff to make hash oil, and "royal oil", I'll also do a THC content measurement. It may be a while, but I will get the shit for that, so it will happen. I'll take pictures, and a video if I have a video camera at the time.

There is no way this shit I got through the 150 Micron is any less than 40. And that's at 150 Micron. If you ACTUALLY used 8 bags, then your's got cleaned up more than you're telling us.

Or you shake for too damn long.

Only a solvent extraction will recover near 100% of THC and THCA ... but a good extraction will do that: 99.9+%.
Back in the day I had a batch of trim that I ran through bubble bags. I ground thtrim lightly for homogeneity, then extracted a portion down to bho-equivalent (a different but comparable hydrocarbon solvent was used for Soxhlet extraction). The extract was weighed. It was then refined to recover pure THC, which was also weighed. The heat-treated extract was ~85% by weight THC.
I bubbled the remainder of the shake. The recovery of trichomes was well short (about 2/3 of theory iirc) of what it could have been. The 150-micron fraction, the prettiest and heaviest, assayed at approx. 80% THC (after heat treatment) by gravimetry.
Full-melt bubble is a delicious clean smoke. As a recovery freak however I like extract, which when done the right way exceeds bubble in purity, equals (yes, subjective opinion) it in flavor, and gives the satisfaction of getting all the goods and ditching all the lawn clippings.
For me to tool up to the point where I could re-run THC by weight assay, i'd need to assemble a rather ambitious and expensive lab. That I won't do. cn

Ok, first time Ive read this thread all the way through. What the hell is going on here? Looks like it started as a thead for fin to get rid of some trim, which we all know is not the goal of our happy little community. Thats what craigslist is for. Second Im offended that you called ec a fistfuck or whatever, I think an apology is in order. Ive had communication with you as I'm always willing to give a new member a chance. Third maybe eyecandi can answer this question, is the tricomb head only thc or is there a baloon of whatever sourrounding it? And Finally just as a side note, when you come on making all these posts and claims it kinda makes you seem like a noob and/or a troll. Im done with you until you make right what you said to eyecandi and to us in general as toureno88 was right when he said you've insulted us all, and come up with some real questions for us to help you with instead of trying to get attention. A ripe trichome has a small percentage of cellular material packaging the resin, which is mostly THCA in fairly fresh indoor weed cultivars.
fwiw I agree that calling someone "fuckstick" is beyond the pale of polite discourse, especially outside the wild game preserve that is Toke&Talk. cn

I'm just using bubble because CO2 is so damn easy. But I want to make Oil-Bubble hash. Know what I mean? Do a acetone, naptha separation. Then mix the oil and bubble together for the crazy dankness.

How do you do "Heat treat"??

My heat treatment consisted of heating the sample in a small flask to 120 degrees C for ten minutes. (thermoregulated oil bath) You could see it fizz for the first minute or two while THCA was decarboxylating and kicking out CO2.
Pre-heat-treatment TLC (thin-layer chromatography) was almost all a fat streak of "baseline", polar syuff, essentially THCA. I demonstrated this by taking a TLC of the same sample after heat. The baseline streak was almost completely gone, and a fat fast-traveling spot of pure sweet delta-nine dominated the plate, as visualized with a "ceric ammonium nitrate in sulfuric acid" developer spray, followed by "baking" the run TLC plate on a ~250 deg C hot plate. cn

n.b. in TLC praxis, "development" refers to both running the plate in a solvent tank, and the act of using the visualizing reagent spray.

They make machines to go with the bags, for solvent and cold water extraction.
His might be cheaper. And looks like you don't have to buy any bags, but you only get one quality with a screen like his. And 140 Micron definitely isn't the best he could get.
And I bet dry ice would improve on his. Just putting it in and letting it spin.
