It's useful knowledge for sure. I really like my work, very fortunate in that. Right now my gardening experience is coming in handy indoors! Never would have thought that. Being frugal, I'm acutely aware of how wasteful and ineffecient my set-up is. Vegged one plant, sativa i think, outdoors way too long- 4 months. Couldn't bear to let it die, it had to come in due to temp. Didn't know shit about light. Grower friend educated me real quick. So- I have one fairly robust plant sucking 400 watts 12/12 for a month now with what looks like 1 or 2 more to go. Ka-ching to me on the light bill for only one plant. Live and learn.
Yeah, there's much to be said for spreading your watts out for maximum efficiency. i regularly flower 6-8 under 600w but my wife has us on the CARE program for her diabetes. The discount helps
