What is your area of formal study? What's your specialty?

It's useful knowledge for sure. I really like my work, very fortunate in that. Right now my gardening experience is coming in handy indoors! Never would have thought that. Being frugal, I'm acutely aware of how wasteful and ineffecient my set-up is. Vegged one plant, sativa i think, outdoors way too long- 4 months. Couldn't bear to let it die, it had to come in due to temp. Didn't know shit about light. Grower friend educated me real quick. So- I have one fairly robust plant sucking 400 watts 12/12 for a month now with what looks like 1 or 2 more to go. Ka-ching to me on the light bill for only one plant. Live and learn.

Yeah, there's much to be said for spreading your watts out for maximum efficiency. i regularly flower 6-8 under 600w but my wife has us on the CARE program for her diabetes. The discount helps :)

How would you recommend people protect themselves from unlawful searches and seizures?

Depends on the situation, imo. Many times, saying Jack Shit is your best bet. UNLESS you are confident you know your rights and local/federal law. At which point i believe being VERY aggressive in defending your rights is the best course of action.

The police use "escalation of force" tactics every day. That is how i suggest someone defending their rights react also. PROVIDED they are "edumacated".

Btw, legitimate lawsuit threats are very effective too when your rights are being violated.

Have you ever been involved in a situation where the guy talked his way out of something or was aware of his rights to the point it made you second guess your immediate reaction?

Could you expand on this?

Also, how long were you a LEO? What made you want to be one?

Yes, my asshole-ishness was quelled a few times by someone who made me second guess their rights. Then i went and researched. 50/50 roughly on who was correct.

Expanding meaning that if you are positive, or even reasonably so, of your rights and them being violated, a cool and calm demeanor while stating the facts can often make an officer very sure you are properly informed.

About 1 1/2 years across two departments. Politics and the feeling that i was doing wrong in some instances. Like fucking with most drug users.

AND having to arrest both parties in a domestic case because she had bruises but had clearly assaulted him as well. Fucking California laws.

Qualifications in the Conservation/environmentalist areas here, so I have to go through alot of government departments to get permissions etc in my work
Once apon a time was in the skydiving industry as a camera dude lol

went to school for materials engineering minor in business administration... so nothing relevant to MJ
currently work for Monster Jam.. also not relevant
Don't listen to me.
I don't.

To budlover13....I applaud your decision to change your outlook on cannabis and not for the obvious reasons some here might think. You had ideals which you felt secure in having, yet during your time as a LEO you encountered something that changed you {for good or bad}. The will to change is often hardest when others say you're wrong in doing so.

went into mech engineering, been reading a lot on economics & markets lately. Matter of fact I have cpa book in front of me now.

BTW oil prices have plummeted in the last few weeks, but the price at the pumps haven't :finger:

I am pursuing a doctorate in GG Allin study, I hope to be the first to recieve a PHD in GG Allin

IT specialist. Mainly networking.
Side note, I'm a self taught musician that plays guitar and piano. I however cannot read music for some reason. Never sticks. I play by ear.
I also do a lot of art "sketching" and learned illustrator and photoshop by dabbling.
I currently have a 3.6GPA in college. Math fucked me over.
I work well with my hands. ;-)

OMG we're so alike :3 I play 5 instruments, 3 core... But will play anything I can get my hands on in any orchestra that will have me. I did ABRSM music theory but It doesn't stick either. How the hell do people sight read??

I learned Adobe suite fucking around aswell, but do buy those visual guides; there are dozens of ways of doing the same thing but these books will help you do it in the most effective and efficient way and show you what the program is capable of that you wouldn't have otherwise thought of doing.

And I suck at math too...

Have you posted any pictures in the art forum? I 'd love to see some of these sketches!! x

I think we'd get on really well in real life.

I haven't posted any pics in that section. I can though, I just need to scan my sketches. I have no idea how in the hell to read music and I was taught back in like 5th grade since I played the snare drum. I guess you could say I was kinda like the movie drum line. I pretended to know what the hell was being taught, but I just couldn't get it and played all my music by ear. I have been thinking of taking up the violin since I love the sound and I keep seeing these videos posted on youtube with this girl playing dubstep with violin.

I'll scan some of my sketches and post them in the art section a little later today sometime. I just recently created an illustration in https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/566172-marijuana-survey-2.html#post8049863.. Took me like 10 min to put it together. check it out. You may like it.

hey budlover, would you mind going into more detail about the escalation of force thing you mentioned m8?? what exactly do you mean by this?
i have always noticed that when i've been pulled over, for ex, in my driveway for my car radio being too loud, they tend to bring like 3 or more cars, but not sure if this is what you're referring to or not..
thank you kindly.. :D
