i have extensive experience with fungi. When its on a non porous meterial, it needs to be scrubbed very well.
When its on a porous material (like soil) its even harder to deal with.
I'm listening. I am growing organically, and in the past when I had organic veg gardens I would have mold because of the rich soil. That was a good thing. But I have heard horror stories about a powdery mildew that eats the buds from inside out. First grow so I don't know.
I am posting to the Organic section too, but those guys don't wake up til 6:00 pm.
The plants have always been bushy and grown in the closet so I'm sure air movement can be improved. I don't want to cut any leaves unless absolutely necessary.

we study it in school and the links between fungi overgrowth and human and crop health. did you know if we made houses out of hemp instead of ply wood the walls wouldn't rot because hemp breathes?
p.s. i hate you navyfighter

You are gonna ruin this guys fuckin grow! ... I mean c'mon
cover the soil to keep it from getting light, it will be gone tomorrow.
You are gonna ruin this guys fuckin grow! the fungus is because he bought a high quality, organic soil from his local nursery. it's alive, constantly breaking down organic matter into a plant-useable form. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT! it's not gonna sprout legs, and jump onto his plant.......if you remove it, the next layer will have fungus too, because ALL the soil is alive. I add rice and rolled oats to my soil mix to INCREASE fungal colonies!!! I picked that up from the Rev and TLO
I've done organic grows with mushrooms right in the pot! then I smoked it! AND got high!

It's ok to worry, that's normal. but don't fix what ain't broke. learn to watch your plants, they will tell you when they're happy and when they're not.
to anyone else that thinks fungus and soil don't mix,
why do mushrooms grow at the base of trees in the forest? every year? without killing the tree?
why do we add mycos to soil?
have you ever read Teaming with Microbes?
why are there threads ON THIS SITE on how to brew fungal/bacterial dominant teas? I mean c'mon
