Is there injustice in this country? Hell yes! Some think it is more prevalent than others. But lets step back for a moment.
The facts of the case are now available for everyone to read and examine. Michael Brown attacked a cop after robbing a convenience store and then got shot and killed for attempting to attack the cop a second time. It was his ACTIONS that caused his death, not his skin color.
In this particular instance it is clear that Michael Brown was a thug that was out of control and Darren Wilson killed him while protecting his own life and the safety of the community. And in return for being protected from such actions as STRONG ARM ROBBERY, the community loots and burns down a dozen buildings and 20 or so vehicles.
For some people it will never be enough. White people ended slavery and that wasnt enough. White people implemented desegregation but it wasnt enough. White people instituted federal laws and programs across the nation ensuring protection from discrimination but it wasnt enough.
President Obama came out in a speech last night and praised the amazing progress made in race relations last night. But he said it isnt enough.
When is it going to be enough?
Officer Darren Wilson was just doing his job one day when Michael Brown decided to be a criminal. It isnt about color, it isnt about racial justice. When is officer Wilson going to get his justice? The justice of people respecting decisions they dont like. OJ Simpson got off with murder but I said it was what the jury decided. That psycho crazy chick got off with killing her kid because a jury decided she wasnt guilty.
Some people jumped to conclusions at the beginning of this incident. Based on the first thread I read I personally said the cop was guilty of murder IF WHAT WAS BEING SAID WAS TRUE.... Unfortunately, like most things repeated a billion times, the speculation became fact and people dont like to admit they are wrong so they just press on and make it about social justice while ignoring real justice.
Our Justice system isnt perfect but I prefer it over the mob justice bandwagon people like to jump onto so quickly.
