blacks are lower percentage of the population but commit the majority of murders. Obviously as a black person you are more likely to be killed by a black person than a white person is by another white person.

but whites are 60% of the population but commit less murders than 12% of the population. obviously you have a lower chance of being shot as a white person.

According to the US Department of Justice, blacks accounted for 52.5% of homicide offenders from 1980 to 2008, with whites 45.3% and "Other" 2.2%. The offending rate for blacks was almost 8 times higher than whites, and the victim rate 6 times higher.

How much more clearly stated and backed by evidence do you need. Blacks are 6 times more likely to be murdered than white people are.
