Seriosly, why are you afraid of socialism?
I guess it has to do with propaganda (Socialism propaganda = you are not free?). I don't get it.
Because socialism takes from those who have earned something and awards it to those that did not earn it. It is outright theft, and is thus immoral. Capitalism (laissez faire - there is no other type of capitalism) does not do this, and allows each individual to be free to pursue his/her own interests - and allow them to reap the rewards as well as bear the consequences of their own actions. The only government intervention that exists in a fully capitalistic society is when the rights of an individual are violated.

It's ironic and highly entertaining that you can't even spell your hero's name, especially when it is in support of your own intelligence and my alleged idiocy. Classic. Keep em comin, this is fun! Political debates with stupid stoners. Good stuff.

WRONG! Socialism prevents the redistribution of wealth from the lower and middle class to the top 1%! Capitalism prevents regulations from stopping the redistribution of wealth from the lower/middle class and allows the top 1% to control most of the wealth.

Switzerland is a prime example of what happens when you allow unregulated capitalism. They went from a wealthy Democratic Socialist society to a broke capitalist society in less than 10 years by following the Bush admin.'s play book. The only reason we aren't broke yet is because of our huge surplus of social security funds that we've been stealing from for so long!

I'm driving you crazy because I am owning you with facts, not rhetoric, and I am exceedingly smarter than you. The health care bill is corporatist, not democratic. It REQUIRES every US citizen to have healthcare. That should be a capitalist industry's wet dream. Only an industry as corrupt and greedy as the republican based healthcare industry would anyone bitch about a president REQUIRING everyone in the country to be a customer. Why does the healthcare industry oppose the healthcare bill you ask? Because out of the 100% of the population that will be REQUIRED to be their customers, only about 75% can pay. The greedy little bastards want to eat the whole pie, not just 3/4 of it! Obama SHOULD have had the democrat lead congress pass MEDICAID FOR ALL when they had a chance. Why didn't they? Because Obama is a conservative, corporatist who gives the GOP everything they want and cares way too much about what people think of him. It makes no sense for the GOP or anyone who identifies themselves as a republican to dislike Obama. He is the probably the worst presidential negotiator in the history of the USA. Why do you repukes dislike him so much? His skin color. Republicans like being racist more than they like making money.

Oh, and do you want to know why the national debt is so high? Because we owe ourselves, not China! The amount of debt we have right now is largely due to 8 years of the BUSH administration borrowing from our own social security fund to pay for wars of aggression. This entire debt debate has been about whether or not, and how much, we should repay ourselves! The entire rest of the world knows this and looks at us like we are the biggest idiots in the world. Ask any Chinese individual. They think of us as the most ignorant first world citizens in the entire world, and they are correct!

WORD!
You keep saying you are owning people with facts. Well, interestingly enough, you never mention any facts. So therefore you are nothing but a bullshitter.

I absolutely agree that the health care bill is corporatist, but your lack of understanding of the difference between corporatism and capitalism is annoying me for the simple fact that I know you will never attempt to change that. You're wrong about the reason why the health care bill is so opposed. People are against it because it is wrong to force somebody to buy a product, not to mention unconstitutional. Ever heard of the word monopoly? I seriously can't fathom why people on the left can blame people on the right for "creating the robber barons" when it's the left that is continuously trying to take over industries with government run monopolies.

Your just another ignorant person who assumes people of conservative values are all racist and religiously motivated. It's a ridiculous unfounded argument that only accomplishes in proving that you don't have any clue what you are talking about.

Actually we only owe 26% of our national debt to Social Security and other borrowed retirement funds. That being said I won't argue the point of owing ourselves because 42.1% of the debt is owed to US individuals and institutions who have borrowed to the government. However, you can't only blame bush. Now, you have to say 11 years of Bush/Obama.

Fair enough. However it is also fact that his first two years were spent fending off economic collaps resulting from the previous 8 years (note I did not say administration, but that one did start off with a surplus). The last year was spent with a Congress which is loathe to say yes to anything put forward by this president or his party.

I just had a great idea. The Obama administration should appoint a special prosecutor to investigate conspiracy by the GOP to do economic harm in order to gain political influence. I'm serious.

Capitalism is needed for corporatism to exist. Corporations pay big money for lobbyists to wine and dine congressman and get legislation passed that benefits only the corporations at the expense of the tax paying citizen. Unregulated capitalism is a pre-requisite for corporatism.

My argument that most conservatives and nearly all teabaggers are religious, gun loving, racists is spot on. The very definition of a teabagger is a person that believes in combining religion with their politics. If you would have actually read the NY Times article I posted in the, "Teabaggers are the least popular political party" thread, you would know that. I don't think you read anything but political forum threads at RIU.

I won't defend Obama, he is way too conservative and should never have lied to us about having the balls to be a Socialist and stand up to the angry racists.

I've not only provided facts, but links to articles to support my facts on various threads both yesterday and today. What facts have you provided? You're the one who is talking out your ass.

but socialism relies heavily on social programs "for the better good" and government projects rather than a free market. are you sure you read the right brochure?

also for corporations to exist the rights of person hood have to be extended to them, this requires government regulation and oversite, something which is obviously fucking us over,

now true capitalism means that i have the right buy sugar from south america without paying a 4 dollars per pound tax to the united states so that sugar farmers in florida can compete against the much less expensive products available in south america, also for a capitalism to work the government would have to stop subsidizing crops and allow the market to decide the future of our food sources, socialism is regulation communism is government property and capitalism is allowing the people to buy what they want from who they want.

corporatism is a group of protections extended my an overzealous government to protect certain people from being found responsible for their actions.

corporations did not exist until the socialist push to control the industrialization of america.

corporations where created as a way for the government to subsidize the our infrastructure by allowing copoate entities to create monopolys and abuse workers without being held accountable
