Ok I don't mean this to sound sarcastic in the least BUT why do so many people grow such small plants?:-?

I've read about so many people asking questions about plants that they are flowering after only growing 14 to 21 days.

Is this because of space or lack of it?
Is it because of time? they want it quicker?

I hate to sound skeptical but I just don't see any advantages. All I see are tiny little 'tweebie' buds. :?

If you don't have that much room you can still grow them longer, just bend and stress them for shorter plants.
Trim them, etc.

I just don't get it. Can someone please fill me in on what I am missing.:blsmoke::peace:

Im not guilty of this by any means but ....
Some folks have children / house apes runnin round so things gotta be kept stealth .
Lack of space .
Lack of research .
Lack of comon sense w/ plant count laws .
There's prob. tonsa reasons .

SOG. Sea of green, it's up in the growfaqs. The mentality behind this is that the main cola is the best part of the plant. What better way to maximize yield then to grow a whole bunch of main colas close together.

Ahh! Well that makes sense and answers my question. Right! I saw a program once an TV about that come to think of it and it looked very impressive. But they seemed to know what they were doing.
And save some branch space. Interesting.
Thanks SmokerE:mrgreen:

Im growing my plants small for multiple reasons..

1. Animals
2. Smell
3. Room
4. First Grow

I plan on veggin 2/3 weeks then throwin under flowering..

For personal bud, this should be fine..
Dunno if this helped you at all but these are my reasons for growing small indoors :)

Some people can't smoke as much as they grow. Veg for 2 or 3 weeks, start flowering, then plant a few more plants while those are flowering and if you keep up this system then you will have consistent 1/8s or 1/4s. Who wants like 5 ounces just sitting around? Ok, I do but seriously. You can only smoke so much. No need to get greedy.

Going into my first grow I was gauging my flowering start time by the size of the plants and not a certain time. Anyways, space is probably the biggest determining factor aside from SOG, which obviously uses smaller plants.

Personally, I want to try SOG in the very near future and flower clones not long after they root.

I am on my first grow ever and I asked the same thing. why go small? I got 13 babies all about 12-14" tall 43 days of veg still thinking of waiting for bigger but the temptation of flowering them sooner is what might make me go small.

I think for most people its a height problem. If your growing inside you can't let them get too tall. Most are growing in closets ,cellers ect. You have to hang your lights and be able to keep the plants height enough distance away from the lights.

I would think for a lot of growers its light penetration, why have a 5' tall plant when your lights only penetrating down 2'. some growers can't grow outside or dont have 1000w lights IMO thats why you see a lot of smaller plants
