Why wont it work? HELP!!

OK so, I have done about five little grows with two of them being successful(very very small amount of bud, but at least I have some). The other three times, the plant grows decently until a certain point and then it stops growing, starts getting brown spots on the leaves, starts drooping, bottom leaves dry up. I've heard many different things like nitrogen deficiency or wrong temperatures, but I've change the temperatures and used a different fertilizer nothing seems to work. As soon as my plants get to a certain point, they just go to shit. Very very stressful, just really want it to work . I am growing in a homemade box, about 3.5' x 2.5' x 2.5'. I have intake fans and A little bit bigger outtake fan(exhaust). I have four 42W CFL's up top, and a couple fluorescent tubes going up the sides(just little ones but I usually don't have them on as it makes it a little too hot). I've tried a couple different fertilizers (Gaia Green Power Bloom, GreenHouse Seed Co Powder Feeding) currently using the powder feed, i've tried many different tactics but nothing seems to work, please help! I have a steady temperature of about 78°, give or take a couple degrees.

I think you maybe giving them too much water! Could i be right ? You need to let the pots completely dry up before watering,,or get stronger ventilation, an oscillating fan on medium could move out te humidity if thats the case

I let them dry until I can poke my finger around my first knuckle and feel no moisture, then I water. That's what I keep reading to do so I don't think I'm overwatering??

even when testing with the knuckle how many days or how much time passes between waterings on average?

cause that kind of looks like over watering.. the leaves are drooping like they are heavy with water...i could be wrong im just curious about the watering.

How's your room humidity ? If you're having trouble with soil try coco coir

Thanks man, it's usually like 2 to 4 days but they're not in giant pots, I'd say like 4-5 litre pots but I'm unsure

Do I still put things like worm castings, and other additives in coco coir? I've been curious about it but I haven't really looked into it, would love to know more about it because I just got a bag of new seeds and I don't want to ruin them like this

ive done quite a bit of research on it and even tho it's going to be my first grow using coco I can say that it doesn't require much. I'm going to be using GH Maxibloom as my base nute from seed to flower. Only extra thing you need with coco coir is to provide extra calcium and magnesium (Calimagic is the brand I'm using) coco is very forgiving as long as you always keep it moist, provide the extra cal mag and always PH your water (5.6-6.1

5.5 to 6.1 for hydro(coco) is a better range

If you are doing this plus using ferts, I'm going to go with over ferting for the win.........not a soil guy so just hit me up with a pm to claim my prize if I'm right

Edit: cfls also have craps for penetration, you need to get those dudes within 5" of the plant for them to work

For better advice the soil guys are gonna need more details, what kind of soil? What kind of pearlite? What are you adding into the soil?humidity? Leave no detail out, the one thing you didn't mention could be the problem

I have two different kinds of soil, I've tried both I'm not exactly sure which one I have in the pot right now. One of them is sunshine natural and organic potting mix, the other is I have two different kinds of soil, I've tried both I'm not exactly sure which one I have in the pot right now. One of them is Sunshine natural and organic potting mix, the other is from ProMix HP? I believe I'm using the promix right now. The perlite I am buying just comes in a big bag, I think the greenhouse I get it out buys it bulk and bags it themselves. It comes and 9 L bags I believe. I am also putting in a little bit of vermiculite, pamper your plant worm castings, and sea soil compost (also buy that in bulk bags so not sure what kind). My Humidity in my boxes right around 30%, I know that's very low but I am trying to figure out how to make it higher. It is a small box so I could only fit a small humidifier with a small tank that does not stay on all day, so I turned it on for a couple hours here and there. I've tried buckets of water, big sponges, I can't get that humidity raised

I was using tap water put through a zero water filter, now I am using demineralized water in the big jugs

PH of medium is off causing nutrient lock out? You can "lime" your water to neutralize PH of the water, qtr tsp per gal is enuff. Shake well n let sit for a min.

Also if it is the medium, top dressing with Dolo Lime will help,buffer anything going into medium but be careful, too much and the water won't penetrate cuz you'll make a layer of lime hard as rock lol
