A wise man once told me "Failure to prepare is preparation for failure"... All you can do is wait till your nutrients arrive I suppose (if you have ordered them). Are you getting "cal/mag"? How hard is your tap water?

Since my roots are so established, can I turn off and/or remove the water pump completely? Im thinking the reduction of heat will be more important than running the feeder lines.

You got a water pump to a top feed? You can turn that off, I don't use one at all, not even to start with.

I'll be making a DWC tutorial here in about a week. Ordering a few things tomorrow.

It's probably the best/most cost efficient way to do DWC without going RDWC.

Btw if you wanted to keep running top feed it probably helps a little bit, not much.. just a lil. But it might affect temps..

Im wondering about the bubble diffussers, Ive got a link for em Ill post it but they are supposed to be the best way to go. Millions of mini bubbles = yum.

That could be a good idea... I just have air stones for fish tanks. I don't have an issue with the amount of bubbles though. One of them seems to be slowly crumbling away... lol like sands through an hour glass...

Just read some RIU thread about DO and air stones. I guess the standard six inch stone works the best..... Better than diffusors! He did a test using a machine that measured DO. seeems legitt.

If you use two (or more) of those air stones per container, you get even more bubbles.. though you have me doubting that diffusion is everything now.

Maybe it's like the "light/heat diffuser" i borrowed from a mate. Apparently it spreads the light more evenly and reduces heat. Well it reduced heat on the plants but then the plants seemed to just slow right down in growth... I removed it after 2 weeks or so and almost straight away my plants looked healthier and had a huge growth spurt... Some things are just people trying to make a quick buck out of a gimmick.

Okay I have my water and Sensi Grow A/B and Cal-Mag. How much Cal-Mag should I add to ress per gallon of water? Also, what EC level is safe to add to my ladies? Day 31+-ish. I had them at .4 EC just fine and Id imagine 1.0 EC would be okay by now? Just need confirmation =]

Res change, 6 gallons of distilled water at .95 EC (Sensi Grow A/B and 3 tsp of Cal-Mag) and PH (according to sticks) is about 5.0-5.25-ish. My PH is kinda a mystery lol, put it seems okay. I keep trimming dead/brown fan leaves off... No more than one or two every few days. Dont wanna shock the lil girlies <3. Ordering a 435 CFM 6" fan now. 90$ for it... shipping included

600w will be setup SOON XD MUAWHAHAH

Ohh and I removed the water pump and top feed lines to clean them.. only to find they were a bitch to putt back in so I didnt. I now run the water pump without the top just to keep the circulation going. I didnt wanna run the risk of slime with just the airstone running... I think the water pump prevents slime from building up via circulation.
