Nice garden nizza.

I have some tomatoes in hempies and beans,peppers,cucumbers,watermelons,corn,celery, basil, sweet onion, reg onions, chives, broccoli, few kinds of lettuce, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries..oh strawberries, arugula, artichokes, and Brussel sprouts too.

I love gardening...well I buy everything mix the soils ect and my lady actually waters and tends lol.

Whemy back was out the hempy tomatoes suffered a little but they are all fruiting heavily now.

Nizza/Shiva, you guys are making my mouth water and I'm not even vegan. Sure wish I had the weather and outdoor conditions you have,,,I'd be right there doing the same thing.

my stuff outside is all local black gold compost mixed with old perlite from hempy's. when the nutes in the dirt run low i start using my old dyna grow bottles and give them ~1000ppm of the grow or bloom, because the nutes i use now on my inside 3L coco/perlite hempys are KLN, Protekt, honey humboldt hydro carbs, foliage pro, and occasionally S.o.S. oh yreah and calimagic by gh

such a compliment from one of the many growers on here that i somewhat idolize (not to be wierd) but jela as far as im concerned, i still have a long way to go before im up there at your level. Your 2gal hempys are so impressive..

Hooked up my 1000w to the OG hood. O. M. G. Can't even look at it! I'm already picturing a string of 2 or 3 of these bad boys! Or at least this and my XXL hood side by side.

Hey guys, wanted to give you an update on my latest grow/quest for a new mom. All 8 are looking good, they average around 4 inches or so. I started them on 1/4 strength nutes the other day, and they seemed to react well. I just upped the amount to a 1/2 today, so I'll see how they react. The roots aren't quite in the reservoir yet when growth really takes off.

I'll fim them this weekend, then I'll let them go another week or so. After that I'll transplant the best six. From there I'll let them veg some more and set them to flower when they are about 12 to 18 inches.

I'll update again sometime next week. bongsmilie

My berry bomb kids are ready to be planted in some solo cups. I've got em in some Rockwell with a ill dirt ATM. I like to replant seedlings after their first big stretch down to where 80% of the stem is buried it seems to helps form a sturdier plant with better initial root structure in my experience. So I start em in a container large enough to not have tangled roots.null_zps652cbdb6.jpg

I always bury the stems of my seedlings. Once the stems root they get a nice little growth spurt. I actually need to do that to some of my seedlings today.

I actually have a pair that haven't needed it going in my current round and I'm tremendously impressed. When I pop more of them I'll have to fill the party cups a little higher because I leave room to back fill to bury the stem normally.

The secret to limiting stretch in seedlings is, low wattage bulbs really close. I'll post a photo a little later, got some fresh pops.

Mine are right under some 23W CFLs. Mostly they don't stretch much for seedlings but I like to bury to about a half inch under the cotes to not have all of that useless stem. My veg area is only 16" tall, every bit is precious!

Photos of seedlings under 32w T-8 lights mix of 69k & 35k. I like to keep it even closer to the bulbs but there is a lot going on in the little box right now. I tilted the light for the last shot.

Right after i put the camera down, I adjusted the cups under the light, and pushed the floppy catch tray past the edge of the shim blocks, and the back cup flopped and landed face down :-( I stuffed it back in the cup best I could. We'll see if it recovers.

This experiment is just about done. The branch stayed nice and healthy for about 2 days and then the fans started to droop. At that point I pulled it out of the cup and hung it upside down. It immediately started the rapid maturing. The lowest fans turned autumn yellow, then to brown, showing the little branch was sucking the last bit of stored sugars & carbs out.

I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to cut a plant at harvest, and hang it in indirect light with the same cycle it had growing for 2 or 3 days. I'm thinking it might pull out the last bits of stored nutrients, and lead to some cleaner smoke.

I will give it a try with one of the Bay 11 spears.
