World Of Hempy

i really liked your experiment watts, great work. Isn't this sort of the same concept as ripening a green tomato? you want the thing to stay alive as long as possible so that it will ripen even after picked, which is why it's put into a paper bag or indirect sun.
So what i gathered here is it stayed alive with no production and after taking it out it sucked up the rest of it's energy?
Cool man! :p
next time maybe do trich exams with a whole plant? I wish us hempyneers had macro shots to play with

the plant i've been trying to keep up with is showing a claw with slight yellow deficiency.. could this be because its drying out faster and getting crystals stuck to the roots? Thus burning the plant and creating a lockout? I hope she bounces back as shes the biggest and now the others may catch up to her.. Today i gave a light watering with 5.6ph s.o.s.

I've read a fair amount about methods of trying to cure living or fresh cut buds but haven't had the extras to do some experimenting with. One day, it certainly looks like there are several ways to dry and cure that all of slight differences and I'd love to find which one I prefer.

I did a little experimenting a grow back. Took the top bud stalk down in mineral water for a week. Changed water dayli. Dryed it and it was much smoother smoke than the rest that dried normal.
So for me this could be a way of bringing the cure time way down.
Also tryed it in the mineral water. Water cure. Same thing just lost alot of trichomes when changing the water. Oh and the smell just vanished. Potent but no smell at all. So water cure could be god security concerning.

Dealing with pest and plagues in my tent atm day 21 of 12/12 :/ 1. time having bugs and it bugs me :)

The cut flower in a water is one of the things I'm planning on trying with some buds from my next harvest or the one after that. The fact that the next one will be seeded makes me not so sure about trying to experiment with it.
edit: You must spread some reputation around before giving it to HydroGp again.

Hey guys, I have a question. I have eight plants going, about half or so seem to have there leaves curling downward, as if distressed. Is this a sign of over/under watering? They are on 1/2 nutes, and I am not seeing any nute burn, just downward curling leaves on some. I added a blue/white LED light to the tent today (I don't need it for clones right now), trying to add a different light spectrum then just the yellow/orange from my HPS.

I thought it was all but impossible to over water a hempy. lamopa can you post a pic of it? They're really worth at least a thousand words.

Hey MrED, I only have my cell phone camera so I am extremely paranoid about posting pics taken with it. They otherwise look healthy, no nute burns or anything, the leaves just curl downward instead of straight out or upward. I thought maybe my light was too low so I checked that, but it seems to be fine. I'm going to avoid watering them today and see how they look.

Is that just in tap water? I realized I have a few of teh lower buds from one of teh plants I just harvested that I had left to try to finish up because it was all little shit that just would have gone in the hash pile anyway. If I can get some useful data out of it it was worth it.
If the buds are still immature, cut one branch and hang while keeping the light cycle, you'll notice it mature at a rapid rate. It surprised me anyhow.

3x3x6 secret jardin 6 inch ducting, 2 gallon hempy buckets, 4:1 Perlite : Vermiculite

they were started in rockwool 3x3 cubes and placed into the hempy's today

the fan is controlled by a variac variable transformer it works great so far I can really control the temp...

Watt and Hydro I think I have at least one bud worth testing this with. Pics may only end up in my journal. I try but if I posted everything everywhere I hang out I'd feel like a spammer.
The switch to hempy may have to wait a little while because money is the root of all evil.
FJGB I hope you can fit 4 plants in 2gals in that space. I certainly don't think I could get more than 2 in there.
I <3 variacs. Most of my experience with them comes with them running equipment that needed way more juice than a fan but they always performed well even with high draw distillations and other processes. I wish I had my old electric and maintenance groups working with me. And a warehouse :)

Made some MJ tea tonight (minus the tea). Works great, although its hard to drink down the butter. I added honey and it helped some, maybe a sprinkle of cinnamon? Took about an hour to kick in fully. I can say it was worth the butter inconvenience. Great rolling body waves (if that makes sense), minds really blank and it's hard to put thoughts into words. Really strong couch lock. Gonna enjoy it now. Peace

Hey guys, I wanted to give you an update. I've come to conclude it was heat stress that was making my plants curl downward. I move the light up a few inches and bought a much better oscillating fan for them this morning. I also added another white/blue LED panel I was using for clones. I now have two of these panels on the side of the plants, and the 150w HPS above. When I switch to flowering I add another 150w HPS, plus four red LED panels I have (I take out the white/blue panels).

I'll monitor how they are doing and check in during the week! bongsmilie
