Wrinkled and Curled Leaves

Hi, Sorry but, ...those look awful.
Remind me of a fungus that peaches get, peach leaf curl. Anyway, what nutrients are you using and at what strength? How often are you watering? What sort of soil is that? Do you have high humidity? Do you have a good vent fan?

some strains do just grow that way, but i dont think that bad.

Looks like heat exhaustion to me.
Yeah they look horrible. A friend gave them to me sense my first round of clones were not taking very well. he gave me 6, 2 of them look like this 2 have a little of this going on and 2 are perfect.
PH is my first guess. I thought they would have started to bounce back by now but all the new growth looks like this. I filled out this question list for another forum.
How long has this problem been going on? As long as I have had them I got them about 1 week after they got planted in soil. i assume they have been like this from the beginning
What STRAIN are you growing? Purple Haze I think but I got them from a friend and they may have gotten mixed up. They would be either Purple Have BlueBerry or DOA
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Clones
What is the age of your plants? 7 weeks
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? 3 weeks
How Tall are the plants? Sick ones are about 1 foot
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Veg
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) LST?
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 7gal 1 plant
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) Half and half Fox Farm Light Warrior and Ocean Forest
What Nutrient's are you using? Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* 1TBS/1GAL according to directions for smaller plants was planning to up it to 2TBS/1GAL for the next feed
How often are you feeding? Every 6 to 8 days depending on how dry the soil is from the last watering.
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? No idea i don't have a meter
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? About 5 but I am waiting for a digital meter in the mail to check it again. My stick in the dirt meter reads about 6.2
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Drops

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? No
Is your water HARD or SOFT? Don't know the diffrence
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap after it sits in a bucket for 24-48 hours with an air pump running bubbles in it
Are you using water from a water softener? Don't know what a softener is
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? Neem oil every other day
Are plant's infected with pest's? A little (Spider mites) They had bugs when they were given to me.

my guess would be ph in the soil...im goin thru same problem of they leaves curling i went bought a soil ph and moister combo and is deff the ph of the soil in my case....now just to figure a quick solution ...my soil was in the 7s i dont kno how but after 3 weeks it just jumped or i think it jumped i just bought the soil tester yesterday. i had the pill testers and they are shit ...3 weeks down the road my first problem...i hope this helps

Do you know if your friend cut the clones off a plant that had already been flowering for a few days? That's what it looks like to me. It only takes a couple days of 12/12 light to make a plant need to reveg. Do you know for sure the mother plant was in veg at the time of cutting?

dude i have the same problem but my plants are only 2 weeks old and aint clones lol , i think it deff has something to do with the temperatures to hot/to humid / sudden changes , not %100 tho. but i know when plants look wilted its ever somthing to do with to much /to little water or temps.

OK so lets see.
I don't know if they were cut from a flowering plant but I highly doubt it. I will ask him about that.
They had this problem before they had any fertilizer or nutrients so I doubt that is the case. If you really think it is they please explain why and what is going on inside the plants to cause them to wrinkle like this.
They are not really wilted just wrinkled but still pretty stiff. They actually feel a little dry as well.
Temps and humidity have always been very well controlled so unless they got left in a 100 degree room for a few days before they were given to me that shouldn't be an issue. If that is the case though I don't understand how it would be effecting the new growth as well.

Thanks for the input and trying to help me figure this out guys. I do have healthy plants to replace the sick ones but these sick ones are further along and I figured it would be a good challenge to get them healthy again.
As of now all I can think of is that it is the soil PH. My soil PH tester reads about 6.2 but I hear they are inacurate and the run off looks like it is about 5-5.5 on the little color scale of my test kit. Ordered a digital tester but it wont arrive in the mail for another 2 days.
If it is the soil PH will flushing with clearx and adding a little lime fix the problem?

Hmmm, well since you mention Ocean Forest in your list of conditions the plants are living in...here's one more thought...I use to use Ocean forest with newer starts and stopped because they acted like they were getting overdosed on nitrogen even without feeding. I switched to Whitney farms potting soil for the sprout to 1 gallon stage, plants seemed to like it better.(maybe not so hot eh?) After 1 gallon the plants went in to Ocean forest in 50 gallon pots and the plants seemed to be much more happy in it as a more established root system and plant. Later I added 5/16ths black volcanic cinder to the Ocean forest for better drainage and that seemed to really help establish better roots quicker. A little less water holding and more air holding is what I was looking for. Anyway for what it's worth...Good Luck! GrowIT!

Wash the leaves with dishsoap and water to rtemove the neem oil. The leaves are clogged.
They also look like they were overdosed with superthrive, but more likely they were pest damaged, and over neem oiled. Just spray the sop of the soil and underneath side of the leaves, if pests return.

I would flush them just in case it never hurt and it also could also be a zinc problem due to wrinkling leaves but not my guess i would flush them good and give them a few days i bet you they pull out over fertilization specialy if the soil is rich in it before nutes.......................
