this is not a mg deficiency, as this deficiency is not characterized by random bleach spots. you will see this in time. there is some incorrect advice here, be careful.
that picture in post # 30 is a potassium deficiency.
good luck with the rest of your grow mayn.

i have the bleach spots, the lights are awful close but i cant do aything about that except keep the fan on them. however, the problem leaves are scattered throughout the plant including the lower ones

No its because that is not a Magnesium deficiency. Its the start of nute burn. Max needs to learn a bit more about growing before handing out anymore shady advice.....

Mg deficiency is yellowing of the whole leaf starting at the tips but not effecting the veins (interveinal chlorosis). The OP's picture is NOT Mg deficiency. The leaves are perfectly green with lines across the width of the leaf,I don't know much about other factors of your grow,but Mg isn't the problem there.

and dude I hate to bust YOUR bubble but there are many different symptoms of mag def so before you run your mouth and spit out something you read and have never experienced a mag problem and FIXED it. then you can open your mouth. I try to be nice to people, but then you get people on here giving advice that they have no clue what their talking about.. THAT IS NOT NUTE BURN

man i have to say its not nute burn. could be PH fluctuation or MG def. i use FFOF and have never checked my PH. i get rust spots on fan leaves at about week 6 in flower everytime, and hardly any yellowing of the leaves. FF is the way to go in my opinion for new growers, including myself. i would recommend a flush or leaching, give it a day or 2 and check new growth for any other signs. if there is, then i would definately have to say MG deficiency. .2

Secondary Nutrients Magnesium (Mg) is found as a central atom in the chlorophyll molecule and is essential to the absorption of light energy. Magnesium aids in the utilization of nutrients, neutralizes acids and toxic compounds produced by the plant. Deficiency signs of magnesium are: Older leaves yellow from the center outward, while veins remain green on deficient plants. Leaf tips and edges may discolor and curl upward. Growing tips turn lime green if the deficiency progresses to the top of the plant.

Next time you get some soil add some dolomite lime to the mix and you'll be good. FF uses oyster shells to buffer ph and honestly they don't work that well
