no, there's plenty more. from the link i posted:

In December a Colorado baker was ordered by a judge to either serve gay weddings or face fines. Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, was told to “cease and desist from discriminating” against gay couples. Phillips is a Christian.

New Mexico’s Surpeme Court ruled in August that two Christian photographers who declined to photograph a same-sex union violated the state’s Human Rights Act. One justice said photographers Elaine and Jonathan Huguenin were “compelled by law to compromise the very religious beliefs that inspire their lives.”

And the Washington attorney general filed a lawsuit against a florist who refused to provide flowers for a same-sex couple’s wedding. Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene’s Flowers & Gifts filed a countersuit, telling the Christian Broadcasting Network she “had to take a stand” in defense of her faith in Christ.

don't bother posting if it's only gonna showcase your ignorance.

say, do ya suppose that all the hetero couple boycotted these places, just like you claimed would happen in this day and age when you were busy arguing against title II?
I am just loling at your ignorance, and your "south" comment.

So lets do this child style so you can understand better....your actual documentation is
Oregon
Colorado
New Mexico
Washington

None of which are southern, unless your map skills fail you.
The laws of your op have yet to show examples of discrimination and until they do I fail to see why you are not content to making a thread of the bigots of the West.

Hell maybe you have idk.

Noone is against titleII and that talking point is pretty played out in your endless broken record loop.

Title II says nothing about sexual orentation as I read it......http://www.justice.gov/crt/about/hce/title2.php

Only race, color, religion, or national origin are "protected" and even a small bed and breakfast may get around this completely lawfully as well as any private organization.

Any buisness may refuse service to any one or group for any reason as long as it is not against this "public policy".

If the reason is that a couple is gay, that is discrimination and hence, illegal.
If a gay couple comes in and the proprietor refused service cause he did not like how they looked, perfectly legal.

The laws in your op are stupid, and will have no actual negative impact other than furthering your post count.

and if there's no examples of bigoted cake shops, flower shops, or photgraphers in the south, that's probably because the south is still mired in its own bigotry to the extent that they don't even allow same sex marriage, or even protection from workplace discrimination.

derp dee fucking der, twostroke. should we still go south?

:dunce:
Oh heavens no we should go Washington where they're bigoted AND hypocrites, much better; nice fail Buck as expected.

kinda hard for a southern cake shop or florist to refuse service to a gay couple getting married since gay marriage is still illegal in every state in the south, smarty.

Orly?

Then why the OP?
iirc from reading them they could only refuse based on religions beliefs that same sex marriage was evil....and could only refuse a service if it led to marriage?

They're hypocritical for providing homosexuals equal access to goods and services that straight people receive? Please do explain how backing their shit up with legal action is hypocritical.

Um no I'm not.

Congrats on another one starred thread though.
i asked you about it directly and you said "i don't think it's a good idea". why back down on it now? has my name and shame driven you to change your view, if not my persuasive rhetorical arguments?

No, they're hypocritical because there's a documented example of the discrimination in a state that recognized the marriage.

I said it is better handled on its own without paying a bureaucracy to handle it for us....are you surprised I am a limited government advocate?

Case in point, you come in my store, and you're gay:

Buck: "Hey I am gay Buck and I like to Fuck hawhawhaw....I would like a hotdog and gimme the footling please.
Me: "Nope. Get out of my store, no hotdog for you today."
Buck: "oh it's because I am gay! I'm telling! You are required by law to service me!"
Me: "No sir its because you smell bad to me and look funny and I don't like your overall demeanor."
Buck: "Nuh-uh I'm calling the cops you can't do that, you must serve me and my "service animal".
Me: "Please do, it will save me from doing it while I serve other customers."

Cops show up, you tell them I discriminated you, I tell them my side, you get escorted out.

Wow, shocking.

I highly doubt that florist supported marriage equality laws passing. Wouldn't that be a prerequisite for hypocrisy here?

as kp pointed out, there's also documented legal action against the discrimination too.
Oh ok so you and kp's position has now changed to states must recognize gay marriage then, good to know.
Until then it seems that you buck are the only one who actually lives in a state that has active bigotry on the subject.

I agree actually, just jabbing buck a little about the south in preach and practice.
Ever been to Atlanta? I don't have actual data other than actually having been to and spent time in both places but ATL is every bit as gay as San Fran imho.

So how's that possible according to bucks little map?

maybe because gays live everywhere, but not everywhere, ie, all states, are willing to recognize gay marriages.. one really has nothing to do with the other imo.

My stance is that certain groups should not be deprived of equal rights and protection without justification. Further legitimizing discrimination against a group you are already discriminating against is bad. Really, it's just that simple.
