Right on.. The only thing is I'm trying to keep it simple. I want to have a successful grow before I start adding variables. Does the one that I gave nutes to look like it's starting a nitrogen deficiency?

okay their is one thing you can add from start ot finish is molasses. start by making a 1 gallon jug of water add 1/2 teaspoon molasses to 1 cup hot water mix then add to jug and fill with water. then water plants with it. when its empty repeat. next time add 1 tsp to gallon of water. stay at 1 tsp till flip then add 2 tsp. if you check out diff grows that use molasses you will like the results. now this is black strap unsulfered molasses(grandmas regular). the molasses wont be used up much right away since the soil has to help break it down a little more. but it will use a little right away. if you are not sure try it on 1 of 2 plants and see the diff it makes. i used to just add at the last 10-14 days of bloom. i tried it on 2 plants and they are my biggest 2 plants now( they are 25% bigger) then the others.

Walmart and any other grocery store. here is a pic of the one i use. now if you cant find this brand make sure its black strap molasses unsulfered. and dont get one that has a real high iron content. 4%-10% some have 70% and you dont want that. after you let it sit overnight and feed them put the rest in fridge till next week. label it for plants so noone thinks its tea(kinda smells like iced tea). now remember this has organic nutes in it so when you start adding your brand adjust those nutes down a little so you dont over nute them.

if you water 1 time a week yes. if you water 2 times a week then every other time. 1 gallon should last you 2 weeks. after 2 weeks dump any left and remake with 1 tsp per gallon. you can even make 1/2 amount also.

She's gone. Just moved the new seed that sunk to the bottom of the cup into it's paper towel. Do I make a new thread or keep it here? Also guys, what is your take on Fox Farms Trio Nutes? Since nutes are important and all. How do I know if my soil has nutes in it DCobeen or would it just say it right on the bag?

Yes but remember it has a some nutes in it so balance it with the molasses. I have AIS so i water 2 times a day but i feed 1 time with nutes other with water veg room. in flower room i mix and feed 3 times a week. but my ppm is around 400-600 when i feed. here is what i mix for flower room
1/8th tsp cal/mag
1/16 tsp ground egg shells
1 tsp molasses
1/2 tsp bloom nutes.
1/2 tsp veg nutes.
1/4 tsp aloe vera
i shake my gallon jug and let it sit over night i test it its usually around 800 ppm. i check ph its always 6.4-6.8. then when i water (I use 40 oz pop bottles) i add 1/3 water then fill with my mix. i water the plants with 1/3 of it in flower room. then i fill it up again with water and use 1/3 again. and again if they are not up to the soil lvl. i do this 2 times a day and they will drink about 60 oz a day so its perfect. next 2 days is just water.
In veg area im doing this.
1 tsp molasses
1/8 tsp bloom nutes
1 tsp veg nutes
1/8 tsp cal/mag
1 tsp aloe vera.
mix with 1 gallon water split into 3 1/2 gallon jugs and fill with water. ph test. ppm test. then when i water i use 1/2 mix with 1/2 water every other day. then just water every other day.
this is what i found they like. I would suggest to anyone to try AIS(air injection soil) for 1 plant use sealed pot and add a tube from bottom to top so you can monitor water lvl. this is first grow with this setup and i ran into some store bought bad organic nutes(liquid). its powder only from now on. till i get a worm farm up and running. this system grows them fast. transplanting them is easy as reg soil. but i suggest starting in 3 gall pots then you dont need to transplant only top dress the soil every 2 weeks cause they eat it fast. hope i answered your question.

Keep it here!

I've not heard a lot on their nutes

Should be a N-P-K on the bag of soil. Also it should have ingredients on it

Only ingredients, no N-P-K. Ingredients are: Horticultural Vermiculite, Sphagnum peat moss, perlite, and an organic wetting agent. I definitely made one this time. Though I used a yogurt cup with the lid that has the oreos....? Not sure if you know what I mean.

There we go.. was there a reason going for these specifically? Nothing wrong with em but I'd make sure they're super clean

Perfect they are plastic right? put 3 small holes in the top from a needle/pin. they dont need to be much just enough so they can breath a tiny bit. then 3 times a day mist the plant and the inside of lid with lights 5 inches up if using cfl. 3 inches if using florescent tubes. dont use a big light ever for seed lings unless its like 40 inches up lol.

Lol they are! I saved from recently to use specifically for that. I poked 5 on the bottom for drainage and 1 in the lid for air, I used a screwdriver. Now, when using cfl how much light are we talking for 1 plant? I had 5 bulbs, mixed spectrum (2700k, 5,000k, and 6500k), with 5,000 lumens about 97W actual. Too much?

1 bulb for seedling. 13- 23 watt 6500k
2 bulb for 2rd set of leaves till its bigger than the light or till flip.
