Still doesn't change the fact that I cold kill more people with my truck than you can with a gun.Trucks aren't even remotely as good at killing as guns.
No one in the world uses trucks instead of guns for good reasons, which I've listed.
You are a nincompoop.

The ability to 'kill' means nothing without possessing the other abilities that make firearms preferential.
If there were gun owners wielding loaded guns everywhere on the sidewalks, shooting into the air, (similar to how cars are in the streets everywhere, all over highways, parking lots, etc.) and there were full gun ranges, EVERYWHERE, one on every corner, FULL of people shooting at all times of the day, the number of gun deaths by accident would go up dramatically. How would it be possible to have 100,000x the amount of gun usage, without an increase in accidents?Let me get this straight. Guns are more dangerous than automobiles because most vehicle deaths are accidental? 32,000 people were killed in vehicles per year, while firearms killed less than half that, yet firearms are more dangerous? Death isn't death if it was accidental eh?
Do you tell your children to not worry about looking both ways before crossing the street seeing as its not dangerous considering it would be an accident and not on purpose if your child was run over?
4% fired their guns in SELF DEFENSE!!No. They MIGHT carry their firearm. They might not, there's absolutely ZERO evidence that says they USE their firearm at all.
I remember reading a stat, I don't have the reference, but I will continue to look; that said that only 4% of CCW holders fired their gun within 3 years of getting their permit.
I don't expect anyone to beleive me without a source.
Yes, yes it does.Still doesn't change the fact that I cold kill more people with my truck than you can with a gun.
Gun Owners already are on the sidewalks with fully loaded guns, why would they shoot into the air? That seems about as irresponsible as driving on the sidewalk. If there were gun owners wielding loaded guns everywhere on the sidewalks, shooting into the air,
You are not USING a firearm, when it's in a holster. You are not USING a car when you're sitting in the drivers seat, engine off.4% fired their guns in SELF DEFENSE!!
A gun is in use when you carry it on you or close enough to grab quickly, not necessarily firing it at someone.
Yes you are. Just ask anyone who has gotten a DUI while sitting in their parked vehicle asleep in the back seat. You are not USING a car when you're sitting in the drivers seat, engine off.
Why do some drivers do stupid shit? Because they're stupid.Gun Owners already are on the sidewalks with fully loaded guns, why would they shoot into the air? That seems about as irresponsible as driving on the sidewalk.
FTW: Bullets dropping from the sky won't kill you.
No, you're not USING the car. The law just doesn't care if you're drunk. You're not allowed to be behind the wheel, at all.Yes you are. Just ask anyone who has gotten a DUI while sitting in their parked vehicle asleep in the back seat.
If you try to mug me and I stick my gun in your face and you run away, I just used my gun didn't I? But I didn't pull the trigger did I?
Specific type? I gave an example, not a specific type. Do you think that the 4th of July parade is the only time that people are lined up on the street? Do you think that's the only time I could surprise them?Yes, yes it does.
The specific type of situation you'd have to be in to make a truck more deadly than a gun is just stupid;
Boston Marathon and no cops around to cap your stupid ass, or like you said (LOL) July 4th, no cops around, and people just standing there letting you run them over.
VS
Any day of the week, going into a theater or mall and opening fire.
Please, continue talking.
Your reduction to absurdities is nothing more than a red herring, people don't walk around shooting their guns into the air everyday just for fun. I don't have to pull the trigger on my gun in order to use it as an effective tool at all.Why do some drivers do stupid shit? Because they're stupid.
Think of the complete idiocy you see every day when you're driving, now picture the same level of idiocy, with the same quantity of people, using firearms on a daily basis. Deaths are going to go up.
Got an answer yet?If you try to mug me and I stick my gun in your face and you run away, I just used my gun didn't I? But I didn't pull the trigger did I?
It was meant as a comparison as to how people behave in vehicles. People break laws all the time, and do wreckless things in their vehciles. Hence, the high rate of deaths from automobile accidents. Are you suggesting that every gun opwner in America is 100% responsible and doesn't do anything they shouldn't with a firearm? That was the point about 'shooting guns into the air'.Your reduction to absurdities is nothing more than a red herring, people don't walk around shooting their guns into the air everyday just for fun. I don't have to pull the trigger on my gun in order to use it as an effective tool at all.
Something else is to blame for over 60% of traffic deaths, but they already tried banning that, it didn't work out so well.
If you could magically wave a wand and make all firearms in the USA disappear, the mass murders would still continue, you know that though.
Why hasn't this Carmageddon scenario ever happened? If it's as easy as you say, why has no one ever done it?Beefy, how many people do you think fit in an average crosswalk? When the Avalanche game gets over and 18,000 people come out of the stadium, how many of them do you think cross the street at one time? What's the busiest crosswalk you have ever seen? 50-100 dead before I have even moved 100 ft. Where are the cops? When I turn the corner on to a street where the sidewalks are packed with people who have no idea what I just did, with their backs all turned to me, how many more do you think would die? Not a single shot has even been fired at me yet. Then I turn up the next street...more dead. Where are the cops?
If you're so against moving talking points....why do you keep doing it to me?And Yes, if you stick a gun in someones face to deter them you've used the gun as a deterrent. You didn't however, operate the firearm. Which is what we're discussing.
What are you talking about? If you're so against moving talking points....why do you keep doing it to me?
Didn't you try to put words in my mouth? Something about 'killing trucks' in the military...
Have you found that number I asked you about (a few times) earlier?
So your argument is that since it hasn't happened it couldn't happen? Why hasn't this Carmageddon scenario ever happened? If it's as easy as you say, why has no one ever done it?
Likewise, why have numerous people used firearms instead to commit mass murders?
Or people at the crosswalk see a vehicle coming at them, jump out of the way, and start screaming (you might hit some people). Since your vehicle isn't faster than the speed of sound, other people hear the screaming and are immediately alerted that something is happening. Instead of staying in the only place they're vulnerable to a truck, e.g. the street, people dart into shops and alleys, to avoid the guy in a truck.
Since your truck is also slower than radio waves, and the scenario we're discussing is after a hockey game, police will be nearby. They either run you off the road, hit you with spike strips, or shoot your tires out.
