First time cloning

As the title states its my first attempt at cloning, i have 2 clones in water bottles, about 5-7" big, i clipped all the tips off the leaves and topped them, they were small shoots towards the bottom of the plant, no rooting hormone but i add a drop of superthrive and half teaspoon of big bloom each day i change the water, they sit on my windowsill in indirect sunlight inside of tinted green mason jars so not too much light gets to where the roots should be, i also spray them a couple times a day with a drop of superthrive in my spray bottle. have had them for about 2 weeks dont see any new roots but they are healthy and new tops are growing in. Will they ever root or better luck next time?

If they are still healthy and not drooping you still may get roots. I've read where people have had very good luck rooting in water as you are, but I'm not one of them. Sounds like you're doing everything right. Any reason you chose this method over using a grow medium?

cuttings only feed through the foliage until they develop roots, give 'em some humidity (put a bag over the rooting cutting) for a few days and that should help speed things up

Was lollipopping my plants and had a few water bottles laying around n figured id give it a go lol

I failed miserably at cloning until I bought a clone dome for $5. Even though I watched video after video I couldn't get roots using tuperware etc.. Even now my clones suck They root, but have very stunted growth. Instead I spend a fortune on seeds

ive been cloning for years with 80-90%success rate 1 month ago i bought the 36 site king cloner for 50 bucks best money ever spent using clonex gel and clonex clone solution my clone rate has been 100% sice i got it and you get roots in 7-9 days,,,half the time of clone domes. Also with this cloner you dont need a dome over it and you dont have to spray the clones.. honest to god best thing ever bought saves time and no wasted rockwool as it uses rubber inserts that are reuseable.

nubes- the easy way to clone is to get a 2ltr or whatever size us and cut in half, cut the clone, cut the leaves in half, then cut the stem underwater like with scissors in a bowl, leave a bit then dip in cutting powder or gel, stick in damp rockwool and shove it in the bottle, seal with tape, no air vents, put under a small 24hr cfl, check for roots in about 7-9 days I use one of these

I use the dome with heating pad. Root Riot cubes, Garden Safe Take Root powder, spray with water 3x per day, under two 3' T5's @ 36w each, 99% success, 7-10 days.

Ima give em 2 weeks and if i dont see any roots then it looks like im gonna have to buy a cloner, why waste money ordering the same seeds and risk losing out on a good pheno.

Definatly do not pinch the top before trying to clone. i would say use a coffee cup, put your gel or rooting substance in the cup, cut the branch on a 45 degree angle place the clone in the cup and use scisors and cut any leaf that sticks out around the cup, NOT THE TOP! Then put it in rockwool or whatever.. I still say get a clone king, directions come with it and you get 100% success without wasting any rockwool because it has rubber inserts..

One thing you don't want to do is to top a clone. That crown is the most delicate part of a clone and easily turns black and dies in the dome. Otherwise it sounds like you are doing almost everything wrong. Do a search for "cloning, how to" and you will get an idea of how many mistakes your procedure has. No dome? No heat mat? Massive nute intake? Good luck, been cloning for years, BigSteve.

Man, you would be better off putting ph balaced water in a cup with cling rap over the top,and sticking your cutting threw. never top a cutting, never use so much nutes, mild or ph balanced water is better than over fertilizing.. Throw them away and start fresh, if you dont have root in 2 weeks they are shot. Also dont over foilar spray if its to humid the stems will bend and the cuttings will rot.

Idk i was told a drop of super thrive and a couple drops of big bloom and theres a possibility these clones will grow roots, whether they do or not i really dont give a shit considering i know my method is flawed and i know the proper way to clone, just never actually done it hands on, i was just wondering if the ones i had now had any hope of taking root with the procedure ive used, i appreciate everyones input and happy growing to all
