And he touts public education... Sad to see such a sorry example of it.
Yes I'm one that is glad we have public education... and from what you say you are too.
You never answered what type of engineer you wanted to be. You do realize they have different types right ? Are you going to the library to study or will you just learn at home. How long do you think it will take.

I did not say I was going to teach myself engineering. I made 2 statements. They were known as sentences. They end with periods. That is what differentiates one from another.

I said that people can self teach PERIOD.

Then I said that I was going to BECOME an engineer.

Now, where in there do you see that I am going to teach myself to be an engineer? Because it isnt in those 2 separate statements.

If you cannot grasp simple structure and understand the composition of a sentence and a paragraph, how do I expect to convey anything to you? Maybe you need some private school...

i'm guessing he'll step into the fast paced world of hamburger engineering for a prestigious fortune 500 company...

...aka mcdonalds.
I guess his delay in answering is because he has to research what engineer he will become. I mean he just decided this the other day. From pool-boy to home-sitter to engineer. I guess he will now sale his home sitter business.

I think that given the materials and time I could teach myself how to drive the train;)

On related but total anecdotal story. A friend of mine designs on/off ramps for the city of Birmingham, no formal education and he's the boss of his department. Typical of state jobs though, he is paid less than the structural engineer he is over because the SE has a piece of paper my buddy don't. Not even close to the knowledge, but a very valuable piece of paper.

Yes, that one hits close to home doesn't it.

It's not cash only though, he'll accept cash/credit/check.

He was more of an acquaintance, a golfer I'd run into a lot.

Do you report every dime?

I said it's a cash business. It would be considered that by almost every metric.

I don't believe you, but there's a lot of that going around.
Buck reports every penny of income too. Unfortunately for the government it is all reimbursement, no income. Maybe LF is just getting reimbursed, like the Wendy's waster.

Maybe, and maybe he is the only business owner in the world that didn't grab a 10 out of the register to pay the pizza guy in the history of businesses.

If you understood what Cheney did you would agree. It is obvious that you don't
I was on your side of that argument. To me you had it won when you said Cheney profited off the war, I was waving my pom poms for you, then you did what you did.
