your right the Gnat larva eat roots and it could stunted the growth but you find them in damp area of the garden, they don't like dry soil/sand.
I used to get them all the time when I first started growing and then I let the soil dry out a little more, never realized I was always slightly over watering the plants
it stunt the growth and caused some small problems with the roots

Also, this is the plant thar was dying outside. The leaves got all black and slimey the day i put it in the ground (someone suggested humidity was the cause) today it was slumped over and i stood i back up by pushing soil around it, then i gave it a drink.

The second pic is the other outdoor plant. It seems to be doing well.

I did sprinkle some pesticides around them. Im now considering putting some in the soil of this indoor grow.

Im currently trying to decide if i want to do a SCROG. I have all the materials to make a screen. I could use a peice of chainlink fence, wooden lattice, another fence thats similar to chicken wire but thicker, or hemp twine.

Im going to let it dry out, and see if the peroxide helped. I never had a bug problem before. I read that peroxide kills larva on contact. If i keep adding a small amount of peroxide with the water and let the soil dry completely before i water again, that should do the trick.

Any paticular kind of sand? Masonry sand or play sand or does it not matter lol

yer I would use play sand or Sharp Sand so it has no stones in

just use food grade diatomaceous earth, nothing that'll cause any harm to pets/or you and it works better than most generic pesticides do. its also the best killer of fungus gnats ive found, just put like a half inch layer on the soil. it becomes inert when wet but once it dries it works just fine again. cheap as hell too.

can't see any problem with using a small amount on the indoor plants
just make sure there well rooted first 3-4" deep

Does it kill spidermites too? Maybe that will be a good prevention method for other bugs. Just looked it up and home depot has it for 15$ lol

It's good for killing any bugs that reside in the soil. I've heard of some people "dusting" the plant, where they take like a condiment bottle full of it and just dust the plant with it to kill bugs on leaves or stems but i've never tried it. I'd imagine it'd be easy for you to get rid of them though since you're gonna have small plants, just drench em in azamax or something..

Good morning everyone!

Since the peroxide treatment i haven't seen any gnats. No water for the plants until they are completely dry and even then i will give them only a small drink.

They are in the first might of 12 and 12 now. I noticed a few are rootbound, and ive never had a rootbound plant. I am not transplanting at least until they are all sexed. Even then its unlikely. They will adapt i guess.


I also did some LST with breadties. I have some new branching starting and on 2 of them i clippped a leaf or two to let more ligjt to the new growth

getting behind now lol as you have turned your plants over to flower

going to turn my plants over to flower tomorrow but going to pot them up in 10ltr pots and flower them under a 600w hps and see how they go

Considering they have a total of 60 watts cfl, and no nutes, and shitty dirt, i can only imagine what these bagseeds can do with proper care. Fortunately, i have plenty of these seeds from the same bag. I also saw cloning gel at walmart for 3$. I might take a clone after they are sexed amd give it some real love.

now the question is, could 4 small plants triple there size in flower and fill my 90cm x 100cm flower room ?

not good mate it will stress them out, you would be better off to cut a 1" off the bottom of the root mass and put some fresh soil in so the roots can keep growing
they will stop growing in the first few weeks of flower

my old veg light/fans used more electric than my flower light and that really shocked me when I worked it out
also getting rid of the heat from the veg room in the summer was a pain and I had to use swam cooler etc to get rid of the heat

low watt veg lights that could give me great results in veg will save me loads of space, money and there no heat to get rid of
