Fox News commentator Stacey Dash dismissed the outrage over the lack of African-American Oscar nominees as "ludicrous."

Dash, an African-American actress and contributor to the network, also said on Wednesday's "Fox & Friends" that to obtain integration there should be no Black History Month, award shows that honor African-Americans, or BET, a channel that focuses on African-American entertainment.


"We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration, and if we don't want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you're black," Dash said. "If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."

Damn right it's a double standard. As a black that attended a college that gave me black privilege with points and such based on Affirmative Action or quotas, I'd be embarrassed.

Donald Trump played down concerns about the lack of diversity among 2016 Academy Award nominees on Wednesday, suggesting that it is not that different from white actors getting shut-out of the BET Awards.


In a Fox News interview, Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy asked the Republican presidential hopeful what he made of criticism from Spike Lee, Al Sharpton, Jada Pinkett Smith, and others regarding the Academy’s failure to nominate a single actor of color — for the second year in a row.


After insulting Sharpton, Trump called it a “tough situation.” Then he pointed out that he’d seen an earlier interview in which someone said, “What do we do with BET, Black Entertainment? Right? So, there the whites don’t get any nominations.” Trump said he thought that was an “amazing interview actually” and that he’d “never even thought of it from that standpoint.”

I aint ever seen no Oscars in da hood. Slave driving jews in Hollywood want da House Blacks to work but don't want to give em no recognggin when dey show dat dey are da superior race when it come to ackin.. Ackin was stolen from da blacks just like da blacks were stolen from Actfrica.

So if there was a white entertainment awards you'd be okay with that?

Has nothing to do with the prestige of the award but the fact that such an award even exists. People would be very upset if there were white only awards. How many teams in the NBA starting 5 are all black, you think those coaches hate white people? No, those are the best 5 players. If they could find 5 white dudes who could ball together better, they'd be out there instead.

Thats a poor analogy. Sports are about statistics that you can use to evaluate a players performance. If we applied that to the Oscars then the academy would just award actors (regardless of color) whose movies made the most money.

Make up your own analogy, its still garbage that there is a black channel and black awards, and then the same people participating in that complain when it just so happens an all white crowd took the stage at the Oscars. Cry me a river.

Do you really think people behind closed doors are choosing the best actors/actresses based on skin color?

And what were the top 3 grossing movies last year? Star Wars, Jurassic World and Avengers. Not many black people if any played star rolls in these films. So are the movie making people racist too for having too many white people in their movies?
