Make up your own analogy, its still garbage that there is a black channel and black awards, and then the same people participating in that complain when it just so happens an all white crowd took the stage at the Oscars. Cry me a river.

Do you really think people behind closed doors are choosing the best actors/actresses based on skin color?

And what were the top 3 grossing movies last year? Star Wars, Jurassic World and Avengers. Not many black people if any played star rolls in these films. So are the movie making people racist too for having too many white people in their movies?
From what I have read, yes that is the complaint. Capable black actors are passed over for leading roles and that when they do impressive films (based on crtitical acclaim, ticket sales etc) they are overlooked during awards season. The Sony email leak showed that skin color is a factor that executives/producers consider when casting.

Are they any good though? I haven't seen any of those movies, just not a tv person.

But if they aren't properly proportioned with all walks of life, Im gonna scream racist, stamp my feet like a child and not watch them!

So tell me all about your new hit movie where Santa is played by a black person...

if only white people were so lucky as to have endured centuries of persecution, they could have their own TV channel as well.

poor white people.

you are so fucking stupid, spandy.

It seems you're cementing your racism here.

You correctly identify that some black people were harmed by government backed and enforced slavery, jim crow laws etc. However THOSE people are dead now.

Many of the "black" people today that are whining about not getting some silly award, are doing pretty well financially and do not experience the same harms that you pointed out OTHER black people have in the past and some black people still face today.

You award today's whiners arguments credence based SOLELY ON THEIR RACE, not any harm they have suffered.

If a person wants to make a movie and they are paying for it, should other people decide how they will run, cast or direct the movie?

blacks are more likely to be pulled over, searched, and arrested when driving a car. they receive longer sentences than white people for the exact same crimes. i can go on and on listing all the institutional racism that still exists in america for hours.

doubt it would do much good to tell it to a racial segregationist like you though.

I wasnt aware that movies were fully financed and cast by one person. Can you let me know which movies nominated for an award this year where that is the case?

No I can't let you know, I don't pay much attention to that stuff.

How would the situation differ if one person or a cast of people paid to produce a movie? Isn't the movie their business and not yours or mine?

No, I'm not stupid and usually test in the 95-99th percentile on intelligence.

You didn't rebut what I said either. You did make an excellent argument for government racial profiling though...good job...bonehead.

Sorry, but no one "in the 95-99th percentile 'on' intelligence" would say that they're "in the 95-99th percentile 'on' intelligence".

Fail.

Im not really sure what youre asking anymore but it feels like youre steering towards the same conversation Ive seen you have with many others, which Im not interested in paying much attention to.
