Preferably as a tea using panty hose. Let sit, shake for 24 hrs. More is better but ol yellar. After 24 hrs. Water your plant with regular water first at your PH. Soak it. ~(3/4gal~in5gal). NOW, add the tea I had you create. 1 gallon. Yes, you will have runoff. It will be wet! Good bit. unless they are semi dry beforehand. The medium will be drenched. lol. As Richard said, the absorption issue plant.. It is complicated and suffering. The xylem is likely tight it can barely uptake water to & from and work with the phloem. (Plant tissues that are inside/outside which help cycle everything a plant needs to survive and stand up nice and tall like trees). (Think wood) If you have a seedling mat, wrap it around ol yellars 5gal pot. Will help get it drier quicker to do it again sooner. So, Prepare another tea like 1 above. Ph it. Or 1 massive tea for continued use. DO NOT MIX pruned matter plant to plant. Repeat in 3 days or when soil becomes visibly drier. Hope all this ramblin helps. Oh and use 24celcius water.
