Does anyone on here know anything about their local law enforcement?
Having worked (EX Employee) with my local law enforcement (I/T Dept Drug Interdiction Unit), I have found that there are many ways for police to bust you strictly on GP alone. I really have no bias stand point on the police other than the fact that some are crooked and some are honestly good. In bigger cities, the police departments have very advanced technology implemented in the field.

For instance the local PD here has 4 posted cameras hooked up to a computer that uses software to take a picture of license plates on moving or parked vehicles just by passing them by. The software gets that picture and runs it on a database looking for any discrepancies on the plates ie: warrents, tickets, stolen etc...

Or how about when you get pulled over. There is a mic in the officers person at all times and is activated immediately after the officer gets out of the car. Theres always the obvious dash cam.

In the interdiction unit I learned of many crooked things going on, so needless to say I quit before I was further taken in.

There are many do's and don'ts when it comes to traveling with some of your stash.

Never carry it on your person, always hide it up high.Dogs have a very hard time sniffing up high. The drug dogs are trained with toys sprayed with marijuana scent. The trainer uses the scratch methods and that usually ends up with them searching your car. When you see a dogs trainer telling the dog "get it","smacking the teeth" or any other things of that nature you can tell the cop to stop trying to make a false positive. They use dogs with very high drives. Try to hide your stash in some food, the dog will alert on the food and the stash but the trainer will only think its the food he is alerting to. If you can, try and have a pet with you. The dog will smell the pet all over the car and the officer will have no chioce but NOT to use the dog. If you can try and not have incriminating evidence on you or your car ie: weed key chain, stickers of pot or anything like that. The officer automatically has "probable cause" and will search your car. Try getting creative and putting joints in trash thrown around the car like sticking a joint in a straw or in a mc donalds bag. Remember that the marijuana smell permeates and will seep out of your coffee can or any other thing you put it in. The dogs nose distincts smells, not smells through things. Its like how we see. If you hide it in a pvc pipe in a gas tank the dog will still alert. He will smell the gas, tank, pvc and YOUR STASH! Be careful!!!! Travel at least within 1 hour of hiding your stash. The smell will permeate but it does take a while for certain things.

There are a lot of things I can show and tell but this is already getting too long.

Happy toking and be safe!

Very informative.I used to put it under a pad in between the pad and my panties and put some ketchup n the pad.I figured they wouldn't dig through that too hard.

I've always placed it in food. The fact that some cop would check your burger and fries wouldn't even cross his mind.

My ex dealer was what we call 'hot' over here. These people dealt a lot of weed in small amounts. For example, they could sell a pound of weed at $20 a gram in average $50 to $120 lots in a day. They would sell half a gram if someone wanted it. You can only imagine how busy this place was and still is to a certain extent. Cars and people were in and out of the house like a corner bottle shop.
They were regularly raided and regularly had cops park down the street, pulling up and searching cars that left the place. At one stage, a detective who has known this family since the mother was a child, told her that neighbours and disgruntled pot buyers that had narced, and that there were officers asking the neighbours if they'd agree to have a camera placed on their property, pointing to the front of the dealer's house.

Excellent post netpirate. Off topic, I have a friend who was a forensics cop with a microbiology degree. He quit and started in IT because there was no money in the Force.
+reps to you...

Remember when driving don't have stickers on your car that "support law enforcement", "Say no to drugs" or anything like that in any way. Around 75% of suspicion leading to a traffic stop comes from Narcotics Profiling and they will use it! Don't drive too perfect either. When a car just looks suspicious and driving 100% by the rules they will profile you. Working for the police I have heard many stories from many officers. They use slow roll. When an officer is on the slow side of traffic going slow wanting you to pass him. Also be careful on the highway/freeway because Interdiction Officers are always on that stretch of road. Plus try and drive in the rain, officers will rarely make a stop in the rain, Especially an Interdiction Officer. Racial profiling is a huge thing for the I.D officers so try and blend in while driving. Try and keep that "bookish" librarian look. And please please do not drive down the highway rolling joints. There are a lot of unmarked officers on the roads. Here in my city we have corvettes, suburbans, acura integras, mustangs, dodge chargers, mitsu eclipse, cadillacs and a couple of other undercover cop cars. Most do have some form of sticker with the same color as the car but some don't. Be careful. Jesus fish are always a sign of users now-a-days. That is a red flag for pd.

So when hiding your stash from cops or dogs never ever hide it close to the exterior of the car. They will smell it. Don't hide it outside of your car either. Try to stash it up in the headliner if you can. Some vehicles have hidden compartments under the center console.Be creative! If you can find this try and spray your tires with animal scent!! The canine will have a hard time alerting to anything. Commands used by officers to their dogs are "shh shh shh" "get it get it get it"...stuff like that. You can refuse a search unless the officer has probable cause in which he can search. If you still resist then you will be arrested. Remember the false positives and call them on it! Try and NOT refuse consent to the officer. Let him search your vehicle. When you refuse it raises a huge red flag. Upon refusing consent the officer automatically knows you have something. He will use tricks. If you simply say go ahead he will just make a quick cursory search and you will be on your merry way! Even though you have the constitutional right to refuse the search, they can still do a "WEPONS PAT DOWN SEARCH" without your permission and its legal!! Then you have crap on your hands. When they have a "refusal" they will call it out and other cops will come over, then you will have a very thorough search of your vehicle. If you have followed what I wrote here on how to hide your stash then LET THEM search. Don't give them red flags. Be safe!! Stay out of jail!
More later.

Happy toking!

stays relevant.
i've kept my hash oil bottles kept in cup of soda... i've done the same with glass pipes in emergency situations... works well... nobody ever suspects you of having small bottles of stuff hidden inside of a cup filled with coca cola...

either way... here in SoCal we don't really need to hide our stuff, or worry about it.
