I don't worry about hiding my stuff other then tossing it in the trunk... mostly because I'm white and clean cut. All I do is make sure to keep my weed and traveling pipe/vaporizer in Nalgene bottles. That wouldn't stop a dog, but no human will ever smell anything through that thick plastic. That way no cop will ever have a reason to search my car.

If I were black or mexican it would be different. Most of my non-white friends have been pulled and searched randomly multiple times in their life, even if they were just speeding like 5 over. I've been pulled I don't know how many times for speeding, never for less then 9 over, and have never been searched. I've even been given DUI tests b/c beer was on my breath and have still never had my car searched (I passed the tests of course). And I've had weed in my trunk every time.

If you're white and clean cut, often you can just drive responsibly and you'll be fine as long as you've taken care of the smell. Sadly, if you're a minority that doesn't hold true in many parts of this country.

Oh... one more thing I do, I keep my trunk absolutely full of random shit... backpacking gear, rock climbing gear, random tools and toolbags, etc. That way the cop would have to be really motivated to search through every bag. And the bag with the nalgene bottles is of course way in the back on the bottom.

I don't believe you were anywhere near working for a drug unit. :-)

That being said,

The Patriot Act was not put into place for this, it was put into place to increase public moderation for national security issues. The Patriot Act directly affecting you if you are not of immense interest is very unlikely.

And I am calling out your keychain, intent to possess 500 dollar fine story. That is completely bullshit.

You have no idea what you are talking about, you talk a big game about being a female in a man work place and blah blah, I believe you are an attention whore and a compulsive liar. Deadly duo.
hmm.. where to start with this one...(tapping nails)

well believe what you want first of all. Posting up on RIU I have learned that a lot of you are ready to "call people out" and all that. I really don't mind now. Be it what you may, I am not gonna prove to you where I worked and how the laws effect people. Its amazing that your mind can't fathom how the local law enforcement and government can use a law and twist it into what they want. You think that the Patriot Act is just that.... hahaha! have you seen all the red light cameras everywhere? do you know anything about them? lemme guess.. .you do right... just for cars that pass red lights right.. haha

Go ahead and think what you will of me bub!

Usually not, but they like to win. You are an absolutely fool to represent yourself, stop giving out bad advice here.

If I was caught with more than an ounce and faced severe penalties, I would go the lawyer route, however if small then I'd suffer the fine.

You are basing this assumption off of different scenarios, many of which could be thrown out much more easily then admitting guilt.
im not giving advice on what to say in court. this is a thread on how to stay out of that situation. and i never said to go gun ho and rep yourself. point making here son. totally different

Really? You know me? Was it the flood of threads I create everyday? Typically regarding the bias verse my sex?

From your bad advice and lack of knowledge I am forced to conclude that you have no expertise in this field. If you were somehow involved, I would guess you picked up the dry cleaner, at best.

The local court wants fast, easy cases. Most of the people who visit there already admit guilt so many trials can get underway. That is how they like it. They will tell you all these ways they can twist and manipulate the law to nail you, so might as well confess and they might take it easy on you.

Suckers, every one of them.

If you have a case and willing to duke it out, they generally either make huge appeasements, or just throw it out.

What are you talking about red cameras? Most of them go on public buildings, sure the government can access them but when is that new?

Zen I was thinking the same thing and agree her advice is worrisome to any smart smoker, I believe she just watched some Barry Coopers Never Get Busted DVD's and was then told of the "Drug Interdiction" unit in said DVD's... kind of like how Barry Said "Hide your joints in the trash in your car, such as a mcdonalds straw" Come on netpirate, deflate your ego a little bit. And netpirate that smarty attitude isn't very becoming of a mature, responsible woman such as one who would be working with DI.

About that..

A dog cannot smell pot if it is totally contained, like in a PVC pipe. Typically what happens is that they smell the residue on it or around it. You have to make sure to scrub it fiercely.

I'm not sure about a dog not being able to smell things up high, I will have to look in that one.

I wouldn't hide my stash in my burger, because for that little ruse to work, it would have to be laying casually out in the passenger seat or something, and I wouldn't want it exposed like that if they were able to catch a glimpse of something incriminating.

Honestly the best things are like in the door panel or somewhere not usually accessed. The cops know all the tricks when searching your car, you just have to hide it somewhere that requires effort to find.

No, I argue only because when someone says something so stupid and is left unchallenged it is by default considered correct.

This I cannot allow.

I keep it real, yo :-P

Nice thread netpirate...

this is exactly the kinda stuff Barry Cooper talks about on "Never Get Busted Again" (watched it last night actually)

His first volume was all about traffic stops and a lot of the things you told all of us fine people here, so big ups to ya!!!

He's got a second volume out there as well that's FULL of great info for growers and how to cover your ass. Y'all should check it out...completely worth it.

Thanx again netpirate!

Yeah that is what I was thinking! I was trying to remember that guys name! Barry Cooper, that guy is crazy. I have never been randomly pulled over but I don't look like a target or drive fast when I am carrying something special in the trunk. I really doubt the red-light camera's are recording and running license plate numbers. That requires some expensive software and networking local police don't have a budget for crap like that. Those camera's take high definition digital photos, at least contest it in court and make them pay the extra cost of printing those suckers

I got a speed camera ticket once and I looked at the picture and there was a cross-dresser on a bike in the back round. I can't believe I missed him when I was driving!

Those camera's alone are expensive, its not 1984 yet thank God. :peace:

back. That dvd is actually spot on to a lot of shit. Its great and cops really did give him shit for it. It gave me the idea to write the thread. Not everyone know about this. And honestly I did work for the 5/0 for 4yrs and it was crazy shit. crappy money but crazy enough to keep going. Its not hard to get hired by the city.

zen you've probably never been busted..Ive been searched NUMEROUS times on so-called "probable cause" I have friends in law enforcement..good ones(believe it or not... I dont really care) If you have ANYTHING that has an illegal substance on it(i.e keychain, shirt, odor)..it IS probable cause..and no, a judge wont throw it out..because...well...it was PROBABLE CAUSE...
everything netpirate said holds water..You're just trying to argue with her. you should take her advice, or at least you'll wish you did..

Netpirate right, Zen wrong again, Zen is just mad because of the man hating netpirate has been doing lately and now he is trying to catch her on anything he can. Dogs don't smell well with there head up, thats why you should hide your stash up high and keychains and whatnot are probable cause.

Um... I haven't yet had my morning constitutional, and I'm not yet read through the thread, but when you say they can bust you on GP alone, what do you mean?
