Justice Thomas no longer teaching courses at George Washington following Roe backlash
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will no longer teach a constitutional law course he’s taught since 2011 at George Washington University, following his SCOTUS vote to overturn “Roe v. Wade” and subsequent calls for his removal from the school.

Last month, school officials reportedly rejected a petition with more than 11,000 signatures seeking to unseat Thomas from his professorial lecturer position, but an email obtained by the GWU student paper, The Hatchet, later said Thomas will be unavailable to teach the course.

Thomas is also no longer a listed lecturer in the GW Law School’s course catalog.

The Hill has reached out for comment from GW Law, Thomas and Gregory Maggs, who has co-taught the course with Thomas since it started.

The Justice has come under fire following his role in the 5-4 decision to overturn the right to abortion established in “Roe v. Wade” and “Planned Parenthood v. Casey.”

Thomas noted in his concurring opinion on “Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization” that the court should also reexamine precedent protecting the rights to contraception and to same-sex marriage.

Lawmakers have been scrambling in the wake of that opinion to protect marriage equality, and a House vote was called last week to try to protect contraception.

Thomas is also under scrutiny for the actions of his wife, Ginni Thomas, who attended the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” rally just before rioters stormed the capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and communicated with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and and Trump attorney John Eastman about overturning the 2020 presidential election results.

Members of the House select committee investigating Jan. 6 riots have said Ginni Thomas may be called to testify.

Liberty for religious nut jobs, but no freedom for women, freedom to make war on others, but are protected from war themselves, because believing bullshit is more protected than believing the truth. Bullshit gets a tax break and science gets persecuted for speaking inconvenient truth.

There is a reason almost every liberal democratic judicial system thinks these clowns are fools and religious ideologs. Maybe some international human rights tribunal should indict him for violating the basic human rights of half the US population and the next time he goes to Europe, someone can put cuffs on him and on other such judges who violate basic human rights. He can pray about it in his cell in The Hague, Jesus loves martyrs and he can be one for his cause.

what do you expect the low life piece of lying shit to do? not defend his fucked up, archaic, fascist opinions?
wouldn't it be wonderful irony if some fucking psycho shot up the supreme court, on the day Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson decided not to come in?
America left with the liberal justices, and Biden has a year and a half to pick more...
and since im fantasizing, the democrats not only retain both houses, they gain enough seats to steamroller the republicunts...

here is a story being carried only by Fox and the hard right. The headline is designed to give good Christian white males something wholesome to which to masturbate.

I am sure they diligently cover every incident of a cheerleader getting kicked out of a camp for fighting though right?

Leave it to guys in NW Florida to come up with the painful realities of Roe Vs Wade being overturned. If southern football is going to be in decline, we might have to rethink this whole thing.

Do you think many modern women (that like to have fun) will go to shithole red state colleges with crazy abortion laws, places where they lose their basic human rights? There are gonna be a lot of sausage parties at these places, as even the home state girls opt out for a blue state education. Views on abortion rights are liberal and intense among a very high proportion of college women, much more so than among women in general. These guys will be whining about more than losing football games, many will be graduating as virgins from INCEL U

Lots of big business, not just football, will lose out because of the new laws. But football is something the red hat crowd care about. You get them thinking about it by sneaking the idea in the back door.

Well the republicans got hammered in the Kanas referendum on abortion real bad and are now gonna be in a panic cause momentum is still building on abortion rights. To lose this badly in red Kanas means the lunatic states are leading the republicans to disaster over abortion. Let's hope with Trump's trouble inside the party and J6 the democrats can pull off a miracle.

The no pro abortion side had more people vote no that who showed up to vote in Kansas in 2014, that should scare the shit out of Mitch McConnell. Will the federal democrats introduce a liberal abortion law that the GOP can't swallow before the election and have them vote it down? Or will they just go with the threats the republicans made to women's rights and replay the video? Political earthquake in Kanas I'd say.

i'm honestly a little surprised and disgusted that 41% voted for it...i thought the ratio of sensible caring people to callous assholes who don't give a fuck about other's rights was a little more 70-30...but a win is a win, and there will be a LOT more wins, all the way through the midterms...people are just fucking sick of being told what they can and can't do in their personal, private lives...and republicunts CAN'T quit trying to tell them exactly that....
