this actually makes sense because most mashed potatoes have butter and milk in them making them not plant based,
not having tor ead the back of the ingredient list every time you go to buy something its helpful if it shows the V or plant based.

Companies literally put milk in everything
call them something else....mashed potatoes have milk and butter, AND gravy....
call them "tasteless desecrated potatoes turned into sad mush"....
truth in advertising ^

It does make a funny meme though... No offense to veggies!

Qianchun interchange in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, is one of the most complex interchanges in China.
The complex structure consists of 11 ramps going in eight different directions stacked on five layers. With its largest vertical drop of 55 meters, the interchange has been dubbed as a super "roller coaster".

They have some kind of issues...They build entire cities that have no one to live in them, and highways like this, with 12 vehicles on them. They probably had to reroute traffic for miles to get that many cars on it for this picture.

They’re building for the future. Many ghost cities are speculative investments that fill up within a decade or two. It has some disadvantages, but compared to our reactive urban and transportation projects, some advantages as well.
The thing I don’t see is electrification for trucks.

Today is the 65th anniversary of the first confirmed placement of an artifact into orbit.

The newsreel animation predates the disclosure of what the bellbottomed vehicle Семёрка looked like.

I will possibly celebrate by watching this from the backyard. The weather is glorious today.

They’ve moved it up to 4:10 PDT.

(edit at 4:20)
Nice launch. It cleared the horizon at T+00:50. I watched it accelerate in a bright hazy sky with the sun at a fairly small separation. I saw engine cutoff and stage separation. I followed the second stage for less than a minute before it faded into the bright background, about when they called fairing jettison.
Good launch, first stage down safe, second made orbit.

Canada should skim off the top third of the best educated and offer them immigration, why not, we need people, Uncle Sam educated them, and they are culturally assimilated. A bargain and by now most have families as a bonus, they can even visit the states as tourists if they want to.

I have mixed feelings about this. France with 16% nazis got its own thread but ultra right fascists winning in Italy isn’t newsworthy. A few statues in Ital… owwww it’s the Vatican. That’s like destroying nazi shit, burn the place down next time.
