I hate trimming thread!

Had to take a break to do some groceries. Back to the grind now

I paid a bit more for the vevor one with that grate £130, at the time I did a little research and found they grates are only on trimmers costing hundreds of pounds, I'd also watched a video that implied they grates were better for dry trimming so I paid the extra for it.

Interesting..... I will def hold that to account while searching for one.

Let me know how it runs for the tops. I’m tempted to try one this round as trimming gets old fast. If it does the lowers well that might justify it already!

Wahoo. Trimming is done..... Well for now. In the meantime I'm going to look for one of those bowl trimmers maybe try it once everything dries up nicey nice.
I also have a whole bunch of fresh frozen, that I'm going to attempt to make diamonds and terp sauce with.
The rest will be made into hash and then pressed
The acid dough smells like the old pineapple Express mixed with some tropical flavours. D-og has a definite dosi do scent mixed with like a gluey hashy kinda smell
The sour grape drops has a very distinct grape scent on the finish.

Hovering around ideal temp and humidity. This one might take a while folks. About to run some fresh frozen bho. Or 'live resin' which I think the kids are calling it these days.

Trimmin. Barely. Almost done. Trying to make each batch an oz or more so like 4oz minimum here. 2 more to go. So potentially 7-8oz which would be more than the 5.9oz last run in 3x3. Tad bit early harvest it just felt like playing that no whammy game. No mold so I won me a jar of rosin here. Flower rosin but I love it.

I cut and trimmed a green crack yesterday. Took the wife and I about 4hrs since we had to do it by hand instead of using the bowl trimmer but there was no way I was going to run these buds through there..though I may once everything is dried and separated.

All in all was a good ass run. Fat enough to mold but 40rh and boxfans saved the day. Gots to be 7-9oz. Minimal white hairs was mostly done no walk of shame here. And its for rosin! lol. I got two more plants in few days to chop too.

I hope you aren't trying to dry wet weed on top of tinfoil. It needs to breath from all sides. The humidity from the bud to the solid bottom of tinfoil can rise incredibly fast and cause microclimates between the buds and the foil you should look into one of those things like .smoke has in the pics above. I use that for small broken off buds etc. Personally I like to hang at minimum the full bud without removing anything off it other than poop leaves. It dries slower and more evenly. I just pop the bottom bud or branch over a coat hanger and hang em up in a tent. Believe it or not my plants I harvested are still hanging as we speak. They just finished up yesterday and will get bucked cleaned up and put away after work today.

I hope you aren't trying to dry wet weed on top of tinfoil. It needs to breath from all sides. If youre worried anout mold Im not, its more the dry conditions effecting the rosin possibly. Its dark now vs blonde brown. It. dries too fast to worry about mold, these done in 3 days.

People have said they like to cure before pressing but this pheno doesnt need that. Its not harsh and I have athsma. Its actually real tasty on low temp its high temp that can give some raunch but so can a lot of live/cured resins if dabbed the same way till last possible hit.

I do that to avoid agitating the buds for extra rosin yield and quality. I used to get 12.5% from bowl trimming and 1% from dry sift from bowl trimmer turned to rosin. Not always 1% could be nothing like a couple gs vs 75gs flower rosin.

Hand trimming though Ive been hitting 16.5, 17.7 and 19% overall rosin yield from anywhere from 1oz to 6oz of bud or more if lucky. Im almost out of rosin jail I done made my own thread like you did, I was inspired.

I just carry the boats of foil right down stairs to my rosin press.

If you're happy with what you're getting then all the power to you, but it seems you're leaving a lot on the table so to speak. You could get way better taste and quality by following proper protocol

I lost my dry room my advice if living with people, dont use spare bathroom as dry room even though its perfect. People be taking shits of a thousand shits in there and I just think, you wouldnt do that with your food? I dont want my rosin exposed to that.

Ya I get having to work with what you have but personally I'd find a way to make it work. Your rosin looks crazy dark. When I get home I'll show you what I press. I wish I could upload a scratch and sniff but Elon hasn't invented that yet.

I dried my trim that way and made the best dry sift rosin Il ever make any time soon. It really was hash rosin. Ive had small batches turn out fine. Its still watery needs 20mins to cool which to me is terps. I know my stuff aint great but its just the lifestyle Im loving. Grow weed, dry and press.

My way of doing things are polarizing I know. I just share still because its my experience and that can be valuable to some people.

Generally as I mentioned earlier I only really like to press hash. I will press nugs here and there but it's mostly to judge the quality of the bud for hash making.
