when drying the seeds how are they supose to be dryed?

no special method for me i let them dry indoors room temp for a few weeks then i refrigerate in a sealed container. 90 plus percent germ rate with various strains. nothing special needed for seed drying.

i let them dry in the bud until it is crispy. then i go thru and pick them all out. then i store them in an open environment for a month. then they get put into a sealed container and put on a dark dry shelf for long term storage.

Hey FDD, It's been a long time, pc crashed, moved, etc.....got back to growng, and back to RIU. I have six seedlings in a DWC set up, too early to sex yet...if I spot a male..... Question #1. If I collect my pollen , and brush it to a lower branch on a prospective fem, will the rest of the plant produce seed, or just the branch/bud im pollinating? Q#2. I grow with Deep water Culture, 2 to 6 plants per tub,depending, so I can not safely"remove" a male, once it is sexed as such, from the rest w/out damaging it, as the roots tend to intertwine. Can I safely harvest any male pollen with out removing it from the Fems?(without cross pollinating ANY prospective fems?) I would of course after pollen harvest, destroy him, but I want to get seed without re-ordering genetics..., that shit is getting expensive!

you can't really keep males and females in the same room. the fans will blow pollen everywhere.

now my question is i got two diffrent colored seeds one is dark brown with black strips the other is silver. is this common?

i see this a lot with the first cross seeds. i have tried to germ them keeping them separate to see how they grow. always mix them up. but when grow out i have different looking plants so it's safe to assume they are slightly different.

yo thanks i was thinking the same thing i dont know whats what but i am shure the bc seeds were dark brown but the blue jay were also dark

i have a bunch going right now just to see

once they start dropping pollen.

i have alot of green pods but their are just a few purple and 1 or 2 whiteish color ones.what color do i look for or in week of flower would they pop open?? thanksand

they will swell up and turn whitish. the white color is the pollen inside. it's actually yellow. you can pluck one and pinch it and see if powder comes out of it. when powder comes out it's ready.

this is the light for veg if you ask me

Damn....maybe I'll give the fluros a try. Im a "lumenist" when it comes to lights....Its been HID or nothing....I may need to re-think things. Maybe moms/fluros would be a good fit for me.

at week 3 in flowering my male bubble gum showed a few pods have popped and a lot more getting ready too. i harvested all the pods and got over 50ml in mason jar. the rest of the plant is drying out to make something with it. thanks
