well today i said i wasnt gonna harvest the hermie for another week, but today i went in the room and was lookin at it for like 20 mins or so and kept seein new sacs startin to form. so i said fuck it and took that bitch down. took me 4 houras to trim her. i did not find one seed even though its a hermie, and that im sure is cuz the dutch masters reverse worked on stopping seed production but a lil to late to stop the sacs from forming. i also did this cuz i have more plants that need to be flowered asap. i have three coat hangers full of buds and a closet full. the other big girl is still gonna go awhilke longer cuz she is not hermie. i think i will have around 3-4 dry ounces from this one premature harvest do to a hermie. it smells great to so dank. i have pics of the plant before and after and of the roots. the pic of the buds in the bag are small nugs that wouldnt hang. also all my nugs are solid as a rock even the small ones. well heres the pics tell me what u think. i will get better pics in a few days wheni havea better camera:bigjoint:

so i decided to top the two clones today i didnt just throw the tops away i am tring to clone them ive tried cloning like 50 times and every time is a fail so i hope these root, their in jiffey pellets, they were woaked with superthrive, and some floranova bloom. also used some root powder, thier in bottles with clear rap on top for humidity, here some before and after pics of them also i noticed the leafs on these clones are really thick almost like rubbery but they smell way good, to bad i dont know the strain, ive been trin to think of a name for them any help would be cool, well here they are:weed:
Hey Mcpurps hows it going bro? Found your journal. I thought I might try and help you on your cloning. This is a pretty good method works everytime for me. Get a humidity dome from your grow shop...its like $5-$7. Im guessing you know the best branches to take?? I seen you talkin bout jorge's cloning. Ok when you are soaking your jiffy pellets in water just use plain tap water with nothing added. Have a spray bottle with plain tap water and a cup of plain tap water ready. Soak your humidity dome down with water really good all over and soak the lid too. When you cut your clone branch off dip the cut tip immediately into the cup of water. After I cut the 2 extra branches off with my razor I like to very carefully holding my razor at 90 degree angle against the stem I shave the bottom inch of the stem like it was a potato. Then even more extra super careful I make about 8-10 very small paper cut size slits on the stem( roots are gonna grow outta these and from the 2 branches you cut off and from bottom of stem). I like to use dip-n-grow liquid formula plus I also use a powder rooting agent. First I put a little bit of the powder down the hole of the jiffy pellet. Then I dip the clone into the dip-n-grow for 10 seconds and I put the rooting powder on the stem also. When you put your clones into the pellet make sure you soak a extra pellet just so you can use the dirt in it to pack around your stem good. After your clones are ready spray the leaves with tap water and put in you humidity dome under a 26w cfl light. For the first 3 days you want to keep the dome completely sealed up and 95-100 humidity. Spray water in there 3-4 times a day keep the leaves moist. Then after 3 days are complete I open my dome lid and fan the clones with the lid for a few seconds so they get fresh air. I spray them with tap water, fan them again, spray water all over the dome and lid to keep humidity high. Also after 3 days i open the vent holes on the lid to let fresh air in...You want to drop the humidity to around 85. Keep doing the same thing....fanning the clones 4 times a day keep the leaves moist keep the jiffy pellets moist and always only use plain tap water for rooting clones. Also walmart sells digital thermometers that read humidity for $7...keeping the right humidity is really important

I was just reading where you was talking about using supernova and superthrive on your clones. I used to try and use super thrive and just a little amount of grow big but I think i was always frying my roots. Now I only been using tap water and sometimes certain strains just take fore ever so dont give up. One Time i cut clones from a plant that was 3 weeks into flower and they took like 28 days too root. The clones completely ate their heads off and they topped their own selves...I never seen nothing like it Lol. Hope you dont mind all this stuff im writing im just super stoned Lol

i have my plants bent over 90 degrees now and theyre growing good and strong. is topping a low stress trained beneficial? or will it not work as well?

Hell yea bro! Nice harvest you got there! Especially for cutting down early! I bet she still would have fattened up quite a bit more. But hey, you got plenty of other girls that need the light. And now you've got your OWN smoke too! Grats bro!

wow that last pic i thought looked like a paint brush almost. and i ididnt use the supernova for the cutsi took only o my vegging plants all i used was a drop of superthrive and a drop of supernaturals super thrive. and none of the plant i took cuttings off were in flower i used the tops of my vegging girls and i dont mind all the stuff at all. im learning new stuff every day and dont mind conversation anyway. glad to have you here:bigjoint:

i topped mine before i lsted to create more branches to lst. but doing it to a plant that is already lsted should be fine. just dont over top it u know. i topp once before lst. but it will work either way unless in flower.

yes it was this plant still could have gone a few weeks to . my other one of the same strain is much fatter and healthier and she is gonna go the full term to make sure i get the best qaulity. the one i chopped is dank as can be for a premy and hermie. hey but not 1 single seed

Congrats on getting it through and sticking with it McP. At least you got some bud to be smokin along with while you watch all your other ladies develop nice big mammaries:weed:

thanks dst. i actually got quite a bit of bud even though it is drying still. would have been more if i didnt pull early. i usally always have bud to wether its from my plants or not. i have asome good medical buddies who donate alot to me thnak god. but the other big girl should get much fatter.

Nice thread Mcpurple, you should be pretty happy within the next couple of days +REP!

oh ya she could have got much fatter. the other plant will tell that to cuz she is gonna stay in flower for a few. and yes my other plants really needed it. the bitch i harvested was like 2 1/2 feet wide in each way and leaning so it took up alot os space

looks good lets smoke that shit

in a few days i will be. but just a lil bit i like to cure it first:bigjoint:

ah just found spider mites on one of the plants i put into flower today. it is weird though only found it on 1 plant on one leaf and all the eggs with like a single mite was on the middle leaf and thats it it was weird. so i took the infected leaf off. srayed them all down with neem. and then released the solders to clean up any i missed. the soldiers are lady bugs wich i need to go get more soon. this method always works for me within the first few days

well i wasnt qeustining him its just that his take on pot size and plan age is way wrong he says u can go 3-5 months in a 5 gal pot, and 1-3 in a 3 gal, and ive grown in both and it out grows it way quicker, i dont think my clones are root bound, it just seem like the roots grow way quicker than what everyone thinks, i did use mycorhiznal to though, and my flower room has a 600 watt hps, and enough room for llike 20 plants of average size, and i might not lst these plants cuz i will have more plants in thier, also 600 watts wont grow more than 1 massive plant, the plants would be to tall and a 600 only penetrates about 34 inches past the canapy, but i dont know i might still lst,im tryin to flower at least 4 plants at atime now, my limit is 6 though but i think 4 would be better, i have some pics comin later today:bigjoint:
Your roots are booming for a few reason IMO. Good choice of soil, great lighting, and mycorhizae boosting. The myco's actually do more to increase the robustness of the roots than the shoots. It's symbiosis so the myco's have evolved to take real good care of those roots, because that's their home. I'm not a long time grower, but I've got a lot of plant science behind my belt. That's why i shot my plant in the foot with a 4.5 pH the other day LMAO.

I'd be interested to know how much aeration you got in your soil. My guess is the black gold is a very open soil.

hey thanks for comin by the journal. im not havin to many root probs anymore and ya i think the myco really helped the roots get big. and why did u water ur plant with a ph of 4.5. my soil is my favorite, it is black gold coco blend, it is alo water retaining soil and all organic. i add perlite to make it more airy other wise i think it would hold water to long. thats it though black gold and perlite and i love this stuff its really cheap and good.

ok i transplanted my last purp indica to a 3 gal bag and into flower she goes. the threee plants in the back are the purp indica and the 3 in front are shiskaberry. the shiska are becoming really strechy and lookin sativa, i read that theri supposed to be an indica dom but who knows. i also was going to throw away all my cuts i was tryin to root and pulin the up oout of the dirt to throw them away and what do u know my shiskaberry cut had small roots so i stuck that bitch back in the dirt im glad cuz it is my first succses at cloning, and everyone said soil is the hardest thing to clone in but yet somhow soil is the only thing i have been able to clone in and i have tried many ways. i water the bigger girl today with water and mallases i will strat the flush after one more feed i think. oh and i dont have a scale but im pretty sure i got at least three ozs from my pemie hermie plant. and it is still really dank. i will get a scal esoon:weed:
