Fuck me man, I can't win! When I left and my roomate took over (not such a great job, he did) the plants got some severe heat stress.....

Well apon closer inspection Look what I found... FUCKING nanners... Do these look like they've popped and already spread polen?.. damn man...

Should I just harvest and 'cut' my losses???

I have plants that I just put into flower about a week and a half or 2 weeks ago. 2 days ago they showed signs of sex (female) am I risking polinating them right now with this plant being alive? Should I say fuck it, and just harvest? Harvest date is in about 2 weeks anyways.....

Fucking worst fucking month..... Damn.....

I would keep going with them bro. were they hermies? if not I know you have probly tossed the male, but I would keep it going and get what I could off them. but thats me, I had a hell of a time with mine ( first grow ), didnt ph till it was to late and over nuted burned one up , didnt know if it was going to make it but harvested it yesterday. sorry for all the probs ya having with the grow man, next one will be better, thats what I tell myself lol I will prob mess something up with it to haha.

No they were females. But hermied due to extreme heat issues while I was out of town for a week. What I'm worried about is it polination my entire crop. I can't have that now! No way! So I think I may harvest the hermy. Let the rest continue to grow out. I can NOT have my brand new plants just put into flower get polinated! Can't have it!

those are pollen sacks that are open and have already spread pollen i would take her down to make sure it doesnt do more damage.

Harvested The Purple Napalm.
Kinda pissed off.
Worst fucking month of my life so far.
~Had severe heat issues, caused my PE to hermy, thus, early harvest.
~My roomate tried hooking up with my girl behind my back
~Told my girl I'm not in love with her, but I'm actually in love with my best female friend
~The girl I love is not in love with me tho
~My best friend got killed by a drunk driver
~While I was away for a week at his funeral, my roomate neglected my girls, forgot to open my closet, fried 50% of the leaves on my flowering girls, and now both my Purple Napalm whent Hermy on me. Yet again, another early harvest.
~Lacy girl that was in flower just looked piss poor when I got back from being gone for a week. Every leaf on her was brown and crisp. Not just the tips, like nute burn, but the whole leaves were just brown and dead and barely hanging onto the plant.

Lesson I've learned. I can't trust anybody to take care of my girls. I'll never leave them for that long again.

I was kinda severely pissed off and just fucking chopped the plants down without even thinking about taking any pictures..... I'm sorry guys. I'll def get some pix of the buds tho. And I'm not gonna lie, this harvest is most likely going to be piss poor considering overall weight. Oh well, we'll see what happens. It's my very first grow under HID lighting, and only half the flowering time was under the HPS. The first month of 12/12 they were still under CFL's.

Anyways here's a couple pix. Some not such great quality. I'll work on getting better ones now that I'm not so pissed off. Yesterday, I WAS!
Oh, and tomorrow I'm going to be putting my 175w HPS aside for a while, And I'm picking up another 400w HPS (cooltube).

bummer about the hermie, but it happens to all of us. my 3rd grow, I had to go out of town so I setup an auto-watering system for my soil plant. while I was gone, one of the hydro plants hermied and pollinated my other 3 females sharing the room. it kinda sucked, but I was still glad to be able to harvest something after being gone from it for over a month.
btw pic #6 doesnt look too bad, was it a bud from the early harvest?
and why do you plan on closing your journal?

Damn dude, talk about Murphy's Law gone fuckin crazy. All you can do at this point is make like you just lost a round of Starcraft. Cut out, rebuild and move forward.

I'm guessing the one bud pic next to the bubble cloner pic is the PE? Looks veeeerrryyyy nice.

And I'll be posting pix of the harvest and buds. But then I'll be starting up a NEW journal for my new girls in flower.

Alright guys go check it.
Here's my new flower box. Running 2, 400w, air cooled HPS lights.
The box is 4 feel long, by 4 feet wide, by 55 inches tall.
I've got a 450 CFM fan for exhaust, pulling air from outside the box, through one hood, then the other, and then back out the box.
I have not yet hooked up an exhaust for the actual room itself though.

Here's my question. After looking at the pix. Would you suggest me just putting another fan in there for exhausting the actual grow room itself, and leaving my lights and venting as is? Or should I dis-connect the venting from the one end of the cool tube, AS WELL AS getting another fan to exhaust the actual room itself?

Right now temps are at 95, but like I said, that's with ZERO exhaust.

Which do YOU think would help keep the box cooler?

~Disconnect the venting on the left side of the cooltube AND add an exhaust fan?
~Or do you think it'd be better to LEAVE the ducting, and just add an exhaust fan?

Thoughts. Opinions. Suggestions.

nnice new box man but 2 400 watts is alot for a space that small. and i would leave the vents the way they are and add an exhaust as well as a cool fresh air intake to cool the temps down in the box. i am lookin forward to seein this new bloom room in action

Nice setup. I would put exhaust right in the middle of the top and you can add a filter, if needed. Leave the rest as is.Good luck, bro.

lol, I know it is man, and that was the whole point. I am trying for virtually zero wasted light. I have mylar on all the walls. And it's said (or I've read) that a 400w is good for about a 3'X3' area... So I figured having 2, 400w's in a 4'X4' area would be pretty optimal. The lights I have put out 52,000 lumens. In my 16-sqft box. So that's 6500 lumens per square foot. And I'm going to be running 2 fans, 1 through the lights and 1 for exhaust, each fan is 471 CFM, so that'll be 942 CFM of air movement, lol, should be able to keep my temps down.
I've been hangin with a couple ladies over the past couple days. But TONIGHT's THE NIGHT! I'm FINALLY getting the whole box completely finished! SO excited! Will be taking pix when she's totally done.

Hey thanks man! I still haven't decided if I want to put the exhaust in the middle, and then make the intake holes on the bottom, but around the outside corners of the box.
Or if I want to put the exhause fan on one side, and the intake holes on the bottom, opposite side.....

Looks good man, but I find my problem with higher wattage is more about cooling the room that the box or tent is in. My 1000w warms my entire bathroom, bedroom, walkin area in about an hour it's up from 75-84 and that's with the ac still running to help keep it down.
