Got it finished boys.
4'x4' - 55" tall - 800w HPS - 942 CFM air movement - 77 degrees - Completely light proof
I'm a happy camper. My biggest concern was heat... But my temps are lower now than they were BEFORE I built the box...
I'll get some pix with the plants in there in the morning. They're sleeping now.
EDIT: I totally forgot to post my harvest weight ect from last grow... I don't know it exactly because I've harvested like half of 2 palnts. And the other half is still finishing up. Prob harvest that tom. But I think I ended up with 134g's... Just under 5 OZ's. Not great but all the plants started to flower under CFL's for the first 3-4 weeks... It's all good I ain't complanin.
I'm kinda just randomly throwing plants into flower whenever they're at the right height at this point. And I'm getting lazy, so I'm just goin to create a new perpetual journal and just post updates in there from now on. Whenever that's created I'll post a link in here if anybody at all cares to tag along.
Looks good man, but I find my problem with higher wattage is more about cooling the room that the box or tent is in. My 1000w warms my entire bathroom, bedroom, walkin area in about an hour it's up from 75-84 and that's with the ac still running to help keep it down.
Oh yea man I hear you. That's why I open my living room door, my bedroom door, and put a fan in my windown blowing fresh air in... lol, to try and keep my temps inside my apt down... Man once winter get's here. I'm going to me one happy mothafcka! No heat issues, just fantastic, FANTASTIC growing environment! lol. I've come to hate summer...
you will get it all dialed in soon hooked, and i cant wait to see this thing in action, where did you pick up the other 400 watter. also i heard having a MH light at the last few weeks of flower help produce more trichs, mabye that is a experiment you can do some time to see, run 400 watts of hps and another 400 of mh to see the results.
Thanks MC! I've really thought about trying out that MH for the last 2 weeks or so of flower. My ballasts are non-switchabel tho. Only HPS. Or else I would give that a shot! Because I've read about it myself.
That's one nasty setup, I cant wait to see it when you get the temps worked out,
Thanks bro! appreciate it! I think I've done just that!
Nice setup. I would put exhaust right in the middle of the top and you can add a filter, if needed. Leave the rest as is.Good luck, bro.
Thanks man!
