Killing is sometimes the only way to solve a problem... and in this case, it's the best way.

These delusions of grandeur a lot of people have about peaceful talks, etc... etc... just do not work in the real world. Just like world peace, amazing to think about... but an impossibility for mankind to achieve no matter how many peace signs you throw up or how many VW busses you march across America.

Welcome to our dirty world, now please... stop playing armchair soldier.

YES............I agree......................

steven King knows.

Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent that charming thing we call 'society.' Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare." - Stephen King, The Stand

I'm confused... Aren't we thwarting off the "rebels" in Iraq and Afghanistan (also dubbed as Al Qeada) while now assisting these "rebels" in Libya? We have no need to be over there in the middle east and now we are at war with Libya. Who is next? The fact people here actually support these ludicrous war mongering tactics is just surreal. The only thing killing solves is the population problem, other than that it's a waste of resources and lives. After you have witnessed the strife and horror war inflicts on all of those involved (voluntarily and bystander) you wouldn't wish that nightmare upon your worst enemy.

And what is your answer to the problem then sir?

Stick flowers in your hair and parade around with big signs saying "Love Thy Neighbor"
?

The only waste of lives are the innocent civilians Gaddafi has killed, any killing of a Gaddafi supporter is not a waste at all because it ensures that supporter will not be able to kill a freedom loving innocent Libyan... freedom is a right all inhabitants of earth should be entitled to, and now the Libyan people want that right!

We are not in a WAR with Libya, Libya is on our side... we are helping the Libyan people oust their corrupt and inhumane government with the help of coalition forces, and other Arab countries...

You know, kind of like the French helping us American's during our own revolutionary war...

I have witnessed war, it's a horrendous sight, but what exactly do you expect, it's WAR... it's not meant to be beautiful and happy, war will always be ugly and that is just something you have to learn to accept.

First, I never claimed to have the answer, just that war is not the answer. I think if the Libyan people lives are that atrocious and they feel the need to overthrow their government then they can toe to line and carry that burden themselves. We aren't over there lending a hand because we are just nice people who want to spread "freedom" by forcing it down others throats. There is something in it for the powers to be and it's not the "freedom" of the Libyans. The Iraqis thought they were getting "freedom" when Hussein was forced to flee into hiding. Eventually they wised up to the fact that word is nothing but a plomb (urban dictionary.) Look at the mess that country is in now.

So while I put flowers in my hair and parade around with my "Love Thy Neighbor" signs, I take it you will be stocking up on guns and ammo while instilling and advocating your "freedom" around the world at gunpoint. In other words, you insult some of the greatest peaceful minds in history while trumpeting the acts of some of the most horrific tyrants with that logic.

The people of Libya have asked the world leaders for help overthrowing Gaddafi... as Johnny Retro said, many misinformed people on this thread.

This is a good thing, and hopefully this will even better our relationship with the Muslims...

Look at it this way, my fellow Americans... if we were to revolt and ask for assistance overthrowing a corrupt and inhumane government, wouldn't you want countries coming to your aid as well?

With that said, GET SOME SOLDIERS!!

doubt anyone here know what that 3% means..

Didnt read the last page but I head that two missiles (US?) hit and destroyed a four story building at Col Ghadaffi's Compund today. It is still unknown if Ghadaffi was in the building.

You live in a dream land my friend... Gandhi himself would tell you this, for at least he understood that bad people had to die in order for good people to live in peace.

On another note, we are not forcing anything down anyone's throat... the Libyan people cried out for help from the world and we're giving it to them, I believe this is a pro-bono operation, think what you may.

I'm sure his bodyguards saved him by cushioning the impact, have you seen the tits on those broads?
