Not a smart move... hence the 'Wise up, dummy' statement.

Nothing wrong with that except that you put down those that don't bash so politely.
You do the same thing as the people you put down.

We ALL got trolled that day though.

Have you given any advice to growers on here? If so then aren't you doing the same thing, giving advice on how to commit a crime? Don't forget, I told the kid to not grow if his mom told him no and to respect what she said. Now if that is ill advice then throw me in the hole, I'll tell him the same thing again. Should he be growing in his mom's house? In my opinion, no, but if his mom allows him to that's her choice, so in the end how much does it really affect me?

If I troll then my bad, not my intention, would also like some examples of me "politely" bashing? Cause, like I said, it's not my intention to bash, how am I supposed to control other's possibly mis-interpreting my posts?

I agree, we all got sucked into the arguing that day, but can you tell me how me giving our very short lived argument in that thread as an example of how to not get angry and all worked up back to a response that COULD be taken personally? I didn't name you, let alone even REMEMBER that it was you, yet you (could just be my tone interpretation) took it as me trying to get a rise out of you?
I understand I called you a "troll" or whatever in my post about our argument, but had I actually known otherwise I wouldn't have said troll, rather just kept you un-named.

i won't stick around to put up with unsigned :finger:'s from trolls. at least now, if someone wants to tell me to go fuck myself, whether they choose to do it in public or private, they still have to sign username to it.

I really don't know how changing the rule is going to solve anything. If I understand correctly, you are petitioning the site to grant members the right to give trolls exactly what they are looking for -- rants, insults, arguments. Sure, the current rules force some civility among those members who care to remain members which logically cuts down on the vitriol. You may feel a little defenseless under these rules, but trolls don't stick around long when they aren't getting the attention they crave.

The rules are not the problem. Fair and well-considered application of them may be, I really don't know.

I have a solution. It will solve everyone's problems. RIU makes a new section, similar to Tolk-n-Talk, but in the description it clearly states, anything goes, not for the light hearted. And for SEO purposes, simply put a crawl block on that section so it does not show up in searches.. ( If it really matters ).

Problem solved. Now lets all go eat some Bartel Dew Taco's.
