I can go a whole grow in coco with not flushing once and get no lockout or deficencies or salt build up. Only reason i do flush is more preventitive than needing to do it like it needed to be done .. Must be the coco they were using or they were not doing it correctly flowie
I agree with you, there are alot of lazy people out there, i asked my mate once if he flushed, he said he did, i checked his res.....filthy, it made me angry, do you think he even changes his feed lines? or airstone? nope. its sad what some people will think is ok. Usually the quality of coco wouldn't determine salt build up, it's usually the nutrient quality/temperature/climate. Oh and feed times

or when needed, look i probably dont have to flush it as much as i do, but i keep getting really nice results, so i cant change on that part

the thing about salt build up IS to prevent it, because salt is salt, and once it start to get made, it multiplies quickly, salt sticks and builds up to what....salt
so cleansing regularly is only beneficial, and never a bad thing
