Assuming Romney will win the Nomination

Romney is certainly a poor choice. The problem is so is that Obama guy. Both think they can run your life better than you can, both are wrong.
On the one hand no one wants government to "run their lives" but it seems that everyone wants the president to give them a job.

yeah, since Romney is impossible to defend, assault Obama.
I agree with you Romney has little merit. I guess because Obama may be "less evil" I'm supposed to get a boner over the prospects of him being President? Obama's DEA storm troopers are the ones doing the assaulting by the way.

Where did anyone claim that you should be aroused?

Nobody needs to assault Obama, they simply need to point out his miserable record...
By that do you mean quote flat out lies fabricated by Fox News, mittens, and Rush?

Example: Obama has doubled the debt since 2008!

Oh right, lie. A lie I seen Mittens say live on tv yesterday.

Nope "nobody" wants government to run THEIR lives. They just want to use government to run other peoples lives.

I don't think the President can "create jobs" that actually produce anything. I won't be asking either dickwad for a job.

Presidents are a part of the production of order in this society.

You use the word "order" as if it is always a good thing. The kind of order I favor is the kind where I am free to do as I chose and you are too as long as we leave each other alone. What kind of "order" do you favor?

It is the intersection between what you are "free to do" and what I am "free to do". I think that you will find that the intersection is crossed more often then you might imagine. Now who would be appropriate to defend you from those who would seek not to "leave you alone"? That protection is the basis of order and that protection is most often government.

That sounds like a nice way of saying humans are too stupid for their own good so they need to be ruled. If so, I agree.

Turn the question around....Who would be the most likely to take away your freedom, kill people abroad and jail peaceful people? hmmmm.

There are alternatives.

Of course you exempt yourself from this "rule" ? Why not support a world where people that leave others alone are left alone? Why should anybody "rule" somebody else ?

There are consequences in affording power to the few. Turn it around as you like, but you don't seem capable of an answer. you wish for everyone to be free to do as they please so long as they don't infringe on other's right to do the same, and yet it is the nature of man to infringe upon others. Who would you have defend you from those who would seek to infringe upon you?

I do support a world where we leave each other alone. But not everyone can and will do that. Your idea is good in theory but in reality it's not so great.
