1 Obama will use an executive order to stop all those who comply with state law to grow and smoke weed. He is still going to go after profiteers though
2 immigration reform. Graham/Shumer have had a bill for 3 years now
3 all Bush tax cuts will expire, do not fear though. A new bill will come along giving tax releif for the middle class
4 Olive branch for the Republicans. Obama will let them claim some of the credit for the economic recovery
5 cuts in military spending
6 Summit with Iran
7 Out of Stan
8 GITMO will be closed
9 Roll back unemployment benefits
10 increased financial aid
11 more subisdys for green energy systems that work
12 election reform?

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Obama has nothing to lose now. And the Republicans realize we cannot have 4 years like the last 4 or they will be gone forever

Number 2 on the list
Number 3 on the list

Not bad since his second term just started last week

I guess I meant they never expired, they had a deal at the last minute for 98% to be permanent. End result is the same though.

"We can put light where there's darkness, and hope where there's despondency in this country. And part of it is working together as a nation to encourage folks to own their own home."- President George W. Bush, Oct. 15, 2002 From his earliest days in office, Bush paired his belief that Americans do best when they own their own homes with his conviction that markets do best when left alone. Bush pushed hard to expand home ownership, especially among minority groups, an initiative that dovetailed with both his ambition to expand Republican appeal and the business interests of some of his biggest donors. But his housing policies and hands-off approach to regulation encouraged lax lending standards
Really? I thought the Community Reinvestment act , a Democrat proposal, mandated lax lending standards.

Where were you guys when bush was fucking it all up for 8 years? Funny how I dont seem to remember a republican during those 8 years saying that anything was wrong. Let me give you a scenario....... Bush shits on the floor (nasty gooey shit to), and gets up and leaves the room. Now while everyone else is looking at the pile of shit on the floor another man comes in and decides hes gonna clean it up, he's gonna take on the nasty gooey shit this guy just left behind. So far the guy has cleaned up half the shit off the floor and people have the audacity to blame it all on HIM? Why werent you saying something when you saw Bush shitting on the floor? You saw the man shitting directly on the floor and didnt say a word. And thats to everyone who keeps coming up with all this bullshit about what Obama has or hasn't done. Bush snuck outta there real nice and quiet, but honestly, most of the people talking all this nonsense about Obama just use it because they dont like him personally, it has nothing to do with "politics".
Bush shits on the floor. Obama shits on top of Bush's shit. You claim Obama fixed Bush's mess? And then you pretend to "know" that those who disagree with his politics don't disagree at all, they just have a personal vendetta? You drank too much kool-aid.

Absolutely dreaming

1. the Obama administration still prosecutes small time smokers who adhere to states rights, justified by, you guessed it, federal laws
2. maybe, but no big steps, nothing substantial
3. I doubt any relief will come to the middle class, more likely a bill will be passed to make it seem like middle class relief while the rich feel the majority of relief
4. what economic recovery? "olive branch" aka "bending over backwards", sounds about right..
5. no cuts, just no gains, which is absurd
6. Israel would go nuts, not likely
7. Bullshit
8. BULLSHIT
9. Perhaps
10. OK
11. aka "waste" according to the GOP
12. not in a million years

i await your citation of a "small time smoker" falling victim to the obama machine.

the last few times people attempted this, the results were hilarious. well, to be fair, i asked for a grower instead of a smoker. the most recent example was a guy in cali growing 1,000 plants and profiteering after his real estate business failed.

the obama DOJ cited the fact that he was getting too greedy as the reason for the bust, more or less.

the obama DOJ is leaving the oregon dispensaries alone, and they are not even allowed by state laws.

i await your citation.

Anything against his word is what I was referring to. Of course the DOJ doesn't have the time/resources to prosecute anyone who smokes, or anyone who grows pretty much less than 6 plants. If they did, they would, I am convinced at this point. Not positive on the actual wording, but the statement that was made regarded people who adhere to state laws, yet even people/dispensaries who adhere to state laws are targeted and shut down.

More busts than the Bush administration.

It would seem there is quite a discrepancy between what was said and what is actually done...

To be perfectly clear, though, they don't need to prosecute everyone. For example, anyone who grows cannabis is subject to federal consequences, even if they grow in a medically legal state, so say I was growing 6 plants in my backyard and a cop comes to my house looking for someone (or for whatever reason), he walks around the place, see's I'm growing illegal plants, notifies his superiors, I would guaranteed get busted for this, regardless of the president in office. So, even though state law might allow it, federal law doesn't. Because federal law says what I'm doing is illegal, the consequences I would face would be because of a law at the federal level, which is the presidents responsibility to uphold.

since you refuse to provide citation for your original claim, and since i'm such a swell fella, go ahead and cite this new claim instead. should be much easier, right?

i mean, more busts than bush! and it's not like there has been any explosion in dispensaries under obama, right?
