yeah... when I started growing I read something about mylar and I run into first store to get emergency blanket. Now I would just go with something purely glossy white.. not only my emergency blanket was hard to straigten, it is also a bit transparent, cause I can see things through it. So the fact that I can see through it definitely means that part of the light is not being reflected but instead go through... and also when making pictures, you can see that camera light auto adjustment function darkens the photo more when white wall is in the background rather than Emergency blanket is..
But I'm not sure, maybe mylar is a different product?

I'm still alive and kickin'. Had to get my shit together at work, it's a shitty job but, I need it.

Haven't even messed with the box in probably almost a week. Still have some tweaks to make in the noise reduction department as well as lowering the temperature a few degrees. But, yea...I'll be working on that tonight and tomorrow. I'll get some pictures up as soon as it's done.

Should have some pictures up late tonight. Turned out okay for a temporary box. My mylar lining job was/is horrible. I'll drop the seed in a paper towel as soon as I can.

And its good to be back on track. Going to put the bean in the towel when I get home, going with one Ganesh Spirit by Sweet Seeds.

She'll be put into a 4 inch pot with nothing but organic soil after root shows. The growth will determine my veg time but at least 2 weeks. She'll be transplanted into a 2 gallon pot when needed. Feeding will be with Happy Frog All-Purpose and Blood Meal for when extra nitrogen is needed (through out it's life). Tap water will be used. No pHing.

Will be using 5-6 bulbs with a lamp capable of running 300 watts with a 10 inch reflector. Have many Y-splitters to help extend the bulbs and angle them the best I can, the majority of the light will be from the top.

For ventilation, I'm using 2 of my biggest PC fans and 1 smaller one for exhaust (on the wide side of the tub that will be facing the wall). And for intake, I have 2 more smaller PC fans set on the handle side of the tubs, one on top of the other (will be blowing alongside the plant). On the outside of the box I plan to have a fan pushing cool air towards the intake fans.

my keyboard crapped out on me, using the on screen keyboard now and yes, annoying.

I have 3 fans exhausting and 2 fans for intake. sorry about not getting the pictures up last night, they'll be put up tonight, and hopefully i can get my hands on a keyboard.

Whats goin on? Been awhile, I did finish the box, never started the grow. I was able to get the temps to stay around 80 degrees, which is a lot better than 90. Had to drop down to 4 40 watt bulbs though, but I'll take it. I'm going to take out the reflector because it's more in the way than anything.

Had a few personal things to take care of last month but I'm ready to roll now. Will be preparing the main soil in a few minutes, as well as taking pictures. Seed has already been dropped as of 2 hours ago.

Hah, na. Life is just going to be very busy, for me, the rest of the year. Preparing for an expensive move, trying to lock down a second job, things like that. Fun stuff, hoping this obamacare piece of shit loses it's funding. Part-timers are going to have it rough when and if that kicks in.

Ok. Thought I already posted the bad news. The seed never germed (my fault). Was able to get some overtime at work and I took advantage of it. It did sprout, but in my money hungry state, I forgot about it and she dried out. I am making a seed order in a few days and I'll get things going right when they get here.

More to come.

Seed order was placed yesterday, first time placing an order with herbies, from all the positive comments about em I dont expect to be disappointed. I ordered all my seeds from female seeds. Strains i chose were c99 (thanks sim and kite), lemon kush, pure ak, bubblegummer, white widow x big bud. Got one cotton candy, two green love potion, and five white widow x skunk #1 for free.

Im at work right now, just wanted to let you know when they arrive a lemon kush and the cotton candy will be germed.

nice man, good to see you back on track, i just finished wind surfing, driving home now, will jump on my motorbike soon and drive 100miles, then 150miles with a car and tomorrow will be packing my bags for flight and tuesday will finally check on my girls after two weeks of holidays :)

Nice. Bet you're in for a nice surprise when you get back. I'm going to give the box to a friend that wants to dabble since I want to run two plants. I'll probably turn a wardrobe box into a grow cab. It'll give me more space and my friend doesn't need the PC fans so those will be all for exhaust. Going to get the box tomorrow and then just waiting on the addition to my seed collection.

Trying to have a decent selection for when my 600 gets back to work in the coming months.

According to royal mail my order has reached the states as of earlier today. If I get it by Saturday, I'll be impressed to say the least.
